my temperment doesn't allow me to go to the movies anymore so i saw this on dvd this weekend

I thought that this was a very good rendition and retelling of the HULK story and explored a lot of the angst of the Bruce Banner character

I can see why it failed in the theaters as this was a very cerebral "action" movie...great direction and a good script and the HULK effects were phenomenal

PUNY HUMANS!

I hate peeps who keep talkin in the movie
I flip if someone doesn't remove his feet from the back of my chair ( and i mean like near your head or next to your arm on the armrest)
I can't deal with metal detectors at the movies
I can't stand cheap ghetto mofos who bring their screaming infants into a nighttime show
I swung on the cats who told my woman to shut up after she asked them to put their cigs out ( first man standing has the high ground)

Yeah. You can't bring your pets into the movie, but assholes walk in with no filtering.

I first saw the Matrix on Bergen St. in Newark. Everytime there wasn't a fighting scene, people were just having conversations, like the movie wasn't playing anymore. I had to watch it again a few weeks later to catch some of the key dialog that I missed the first time.

i feel ya, magus. you touched on some of the points why i can't stand to go to the movies these days. probably the reason why i'm considering getting a much bigger t.v. so i can bring the movie feel to me.

Exactly...the same MO Fos who cant get enough "All About the Benjamins" and Vin Deisel Movies hated on Matrix and Lord of the Rings. When I saw Reloaded..I made the exact observation...during fights and EFX QUIET, during Dialogue...NUFF NOISE.

What is the correlation?? Non imaginative low reading level or just a case of dismissive ignorance?

I heard a little kid tell her mom that they wanted to go because they shouldn't be watching stuff like what was on the screen...the movie was Psycho(2).

I have given up friday or sat. night at the movie.

I thought about picking up "The Hulk" this weekend but I went on a Matrix Binge and bought The first movie, Animatrix and The Matrix Revisited.

The same nonsense happened to me when I saw The Matrix Reloaded. Cell Phones, kids people talking during the action sequences, no matter the race. I can't justify spending 8 bucks to come to a movie late, then talk throughout the entire picture.

Peace.

When I go to the movies, I only go on Monday nights after it's been out few weeks.

The other thing that I really hate is that while you are standing on line to go into the movie, assholes who are on their way out of the movie feel it is their duty to start blabbing about most pivotal part of the movie like "why did they have to kill so and so"....aaaarrrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!

it freaks me out and makes me think i'm abnormal when people actually wanna go to a theater right when a movie is released during prime time. i guess i'm just too anal when it comes to watching films. graemlins/conf44.gif

On the real, this is why I won't go to the movies in the hood. Whitestone, Bay Plaza, hell any movie I've been to in the Bronx or Brooklyn has been all of the above and I won't do it again.

I'll stick to Manhattan baby, no doubt.

I go to the movies downtown or in the Suburbs. Folks know how to act at those Theaters. I went to the theater on 87th and the Dan Ryan. Middle Schoo kids talking loud, making comments about the movie, just being plan ghetto. So I cut my phone back on and answered every call and talked loud as hell. They started looking at me like I was crazy. Think they wanted to tell me to shut the f*ck up, like I wanted to tell them to shut the f*ck. I said I would never go to that theater again.

Magus,

I'm feelin' you on the movie heckler thing.

However, I have to admit: When I saw Summer of Sam, at the beginning of the Plato's Retreat scene, everyone in the theater let out an "ooooooooh, Shhhhhhh*t!", including myself.
