Celebrating the fall season, Art For Progress (www.artforprogress.org) will host its “Fall Grooove Cruise” Thursday, September 24th featuring DJ’s, dance performances, and beautiful views of the New York City skyline. Last year’s event was a smashing success and everyone has been looking forward to this year’s event! We will board the Half Moon at 7pm from the east side at the NY Skyport Marina (east 23rd street & the river) and set sail at 7:30 sharp. With $25 tickets, this event is expected to sell out, with only 200 tickets available.
The night will feature special guest DJ/producer Brendon Moeller (Beat Pharmacy, STEADFAST). With an eclectic, diverse musical mix, Brendon (www.brendonmoeller.com ) has played at popular clubs from Amsterdam to Tokyo, as well as Cielo in New York. We are excited to have him, and he is sure to get everyone on the dance floor! Opening sets from Art For Progress DJ’s Jimmy Sky and Rob Paterson, who are both past winners of the “Clash of the Artists” DJ competition, will set the tone for a fabulous evening!
Dance performances by Public Acts of Decency will add to this magical night. This Brooklyn-based group of talented, creative dancers brings innovative energy wherever they perform. Public Acts of Decency holds performances in public spaces with an interactive, accessible approach.
