SHOPPING!

I hate it! I dont mean just shopping for records, I mean shopping, period!

Put me in a mall for more than 20 minutes and Ill kill somebody and eat their liver.

Dancetracks maybe 30 minutes tops......after that, I need a damn beer.

Im the type a guy that walks into a store and either sees the pants, shoes, shirt, jacket I want or dont, buys it doesnt and then I get the **** out.

Do you think records would be the same? NO!

I cant stand it. To make matters worse, whether you go to a shoe store or a record store, whenever your in a retail store what are you likely to be around?

I tell you, MOTHER ****ERS that LOOOOOOOOOOOVE TO SHOP!.......Thats who, and you can bet they make the expierience all the more miserable.

Go to Satellite and take a look around at all those alternatively dressed soho wanna be rejects bobbing their heads to the latest funky house/minimal soul techno/ break beat progressive two step disco garage record getting all into it and what do you see…?

Fancy shoes, T-shirts from the seventies and early eighties that took hours to find rummaging through thrift stores and scarfs and jackets that they have waited years to come across…

You think they all just spend hours in records stores?????…………Hell no, they spend hours shopping period. Rent, more than anything is just a waste of money to these people. They spend so much time in stores shopping for every ****ing thing imaginable they might as well just carry around a damn foldout cot.

And don’t even get me started on lines and people that think their better than you cause their in some shi shi shoe or record store for that matter…….I’m all about people making an honest living and work is work but yo, come off it……its just ****ing retail and KNOW (not that it seems to matter to anyone but people like them) that I make more money than any of them ****ers!

So here is my solution….

Within the next few years I expect to see my income increase….consider this future planning for an early retirement of shopping.

I figure we should, that is other record shoppers in New York that have good taste like

TOTO
Kai
Richie
Cheddi
TAC
Lil Ray (wait scratch that, I said good taste)
And so on….

Should work out a deal…

I open joint bank accounts with all of you and deposit a certain amount of money a month and let yall pick up my records for me while you do your own shopping and by payment make some, by me five by you one record with money for you in our joint accounts…

Oh yea, this is a damn good plan!…..Thanx in advance guys

i feel what you're sayin' on this. i don't mind shopping except for the people. i don't like people in general, but hey there here right. i always try to go to places when they are the least busy. leave me the hell alone. if i need help i'll ask. then you have mf's who try to up-sell you shit. if i want it i'll get it. if i go to by clothes i try and go with a woman.... let them dress me. all i gotta do is try shit on and stay stoned 'til its time to go. now i'm all upset AR15firing.gif

Man theres only bout 4 or 5 good (house) record shops here in Dallas...so I cant really feel your pain man. I would gladly put up with some poser, Boogie Nights reject bobbin his head to whatever if it meant I could have a wider selection. Try the internet man, nobody gonna try to sell you nothin or be around you wearin clothes and shite. :D

One thing I really do enjoy is knowing that everyone around is highly annoyed by hearing the tinty loud sound from my headphones while on the bus.

Especially when its some idiot **** on their cell phone sitting next to me, ironically annoyed that they have to hear my headphone ‘soud leftovers’ while talking to someone when they fail to realize how its just as annoying for everyone to hear them blabbing their big mouths away on the bus as it is my music….ha ha ha ha losers.

Jamie, I here you man... and then some!

My top hates list (yeah, I'm a hater sometimes):

- Short people with umbrellas in the rain (I'm tall and it rains a lot here)
- Buying shoes *ANYWHERE* No half sizes, and guess what? I'm size 9 1/2
- Record store and bar staff alike standing chatting while happily ignoring the fact you wanna spend money
- People who don't switch the beep off on their phone so every text message letter makes a sound

Which is why I am planning to spend 90% of my cash online smile.gif I make fewer duff purchases online than I do in shops and I don't have to waste my time on the bus listening to other peoples phones, stereos, chat, whatever.

Power to the online shopper!

peace, roki
