"tMT" NYC.He was better known to outsiders as a dope remixer of good tunes.Love Thang,I specialize in love,Mama used to say...and a whole lot of other tunes got re-worked by him. He's a pioneer.Try listening to the lp versions of these cuts and you will see the difference.

That ain't even touching him on the box.He also was one of the first to put Frankie on back in the day...

Jeremy Newall-saw him last year and he was immense.Still keeping it real afetr all this time.

Tony Humphries

Harri(subclub Glasgow)-The man is a genius

Alan King --Never heard him live but going on what i have heard on here he is up there with anyone.

Domenic Cappelo(subclub Glasgow)On his day can be as good as anyone.

Iain Clark(glasgow)-Consistenly good for over 12 years and was probably the guy who firstly made me appreciate good house music.

Orde Meikle(slam glasgow)

he was beating it the sickest in 91-96. I don’t get it sorry
So back in the days he was the best and now is shit????
How can this be possible?
Did he lose his mixing techniques? or his dope programming skills?
I don’t think so
Wait are you talking about music taste?
Because taste is not to be discussed
Can you imagine the world if we all had the same taste?
Pretty boring don’t you think?
And i happen to love the records he spins now

i know he's still got it in him to go deep

But you also have to accept that many people like.
And i think you will not be upset with me if i tell you that your taste in music ( and mine ) does not determine who are the most consistent house dj’s in the world

Mark Farina is not on the plane he was on.I understand you like his tunes, but some of us here knew this cat in his early days.I first heard Mark in 1990 at AKA's on my b-day.I have witnessed sessions with Mark,Derrick carter,Diz and so many others all together getting raw afterhours at sets on Milwalkee Av. in lofts.

Just chill a bit,it's cool to be a fan,but a true fan would know history on the cats they are holding.

I'd like to see Mark start snapping again like I've seen him in the past.

On another note, the 5 sets of Derricks have been unbelievable. He was dropping deep shit all night. It was inspiring.

I had been used to hearing him play a bit faster and harder.

no mentions of Andre Hatchett? only one shout out to Alan King? Where is Craig Loftis? you may not get to hear Alan or Craig that often, but they tear it up every rip. and when Hurley is playing for the crowd (not the radio)he brings it. Jere McAllister too.

According to Merriam-Webster...
CONSISTENT: marked by harmony, regularity, or steady continuity, ...showing steady conformity to character, profession, belief, or custom

With that being said, I'd have to say Sam Burns and Mandrill in DC, but don't sleep; they can hang in there with the BIG BOYS! graemlins/thumbsup.gif
