For thoughs of you that fit this age group and try to bash me about what was this & that back then....
It is not my fault that I was making it happen at 19 and you missed your shot / if you ever really had one.
From reading the thread about the US Studio aka The Warehouse...it dawned on me...there are Chicago DJ's here that are going threw Mid-life crisis. IE:
*In what way can I make a unique eternal impact?
*What can I do that will stir my passions and use my skills?
*How do I prepare myself and my family for this transition?
*Who can help me make sense out of this time of life?
*What kinds of life issues should be prioritized higher than jumping in to second half?
These are simple Mid-life crisis questions that some ask theirself, and when the same questions are applied to DJing, Producing, being seen of remembered as a DJ...that make me glad that I got my roll on like a superstar in my day...instead of making a feeble attempt to re-live, re-create, re-new what once was.
What was done by a hand full of Chicago DJ's that "world wide web" consisted of "word of mouth", contributed 100% to this thing called House.
The younger jocks are trying to learn from the elders - More to follow

We got out due when things were new.
Look at some of these other DJ's who were not DJ's back then - attempt to tell some of us that we don't know what the hell we are talking about when it come to what was going on back then.
I used to rule it out as wanting to be seen & herd but - it goes beyond that. It is mid-life crisis more so than any personal dislike for me or others who were very popular DJ's among their peer group 20 years ago.
We got something that they missed out on 20 years ago and they are now trying to gain what they missed back then...which IMO constitute DJ Mid-life Crisis.
Let House (of our era) be mentioned - then out-come the pied pipers of DHP IE:(since they posted it and someone co-signed it, it then must be fact) 40 +/- Chicago DJ membership. The ones 40+/- are the worst at passing false info to younger members in an attempt to make theirself a part of things from the DJ angle...when reality state otherwise.
These people are the blind leading the blind.
I wish I knew MORE about what went on at the Muzic Box, but I don't, so I don't report on it. I was only at 16th & Indiana once, and 326 MAYBE four times. Why??? I was doing my OWN thing out in the south suburbs, creating a scene that didn't previously exist out there. Heck, I never made it to the Rink Zone either. Why?? Busy doing MY thing out south! Powerplant?? I went about a half-dozen times. Why?? Again, busy doing my OWN thing. So I can only report MY experiences, and it cracks me up when I hear guys that were supposedly around back then telling lies about what they want you to believe as the truth. Like I stated in the "Warehouse" thread, there's only a handful (or two) of people from Chicago that were around from the beginning and post on DHP, which is part of the reason why there's so much inaccuracy concerning the "history" in Chicago. Hopefully Chip's movie will help disspell some of the myths.......JMJ

I can remember Terry (Markham roller rink DJ) talking about a DJ out there, I know it had to be you - just by the music he was asking about. :D

I thought that would make you evening.
I am starting something titled "Waco Wednesday" which consist of posting sound bites.
I know it is a day early but, this one is dedicated to the self appointed post police on DHP who fail to understand that they have no admin power as they attempt to dictate what should & should not be posted on the board.
