I get where you coming from and you are spot on. Similar thing here, stacks of unecessary house taking up too much space...
Good luck shifting the lot...

I blame the f*cking bootleggers. All the rare sh*t got re-released and looks just like the originals. Bastards!
If you have a list please pass it on. Looking for a lot of the early Chi-House joints on the tinier labels.
Thanks.

Great answer... LOL
Seriously Baron, and I hate making lists too... but make one or list it all on discogs.... sell what you can for more than $0.25 and then you can still take the rest to amoeba.

more like blame the downloaders. all the dj's whine about how they hate carrying vinyl (to gigs they never do. (at least a lot of dj's not, all) vinyl thrives in the jazz, rock, and northern soul industry. why not dance music?? it's all the serato dj's and cd dj's. that's who are really killing it juan!! no one's a purest anymore. think about it.

I can't vouch for how bootlegs affect other genres such as jazz or rock, but I do think folks who download rare joints (for free, no less) do share part of the blame for the downfall of vinyl.

I disagree.
Vinyl was a technology (which came closest to capturing the realness and warmth of sound) which had its time, but now we all must look forward.
I possess a large collection myself and have pondered off and on whether or not to give it up. I can't at the end of the day, because of the deep respect I possess for the people that took the time to create a lasting moment for me to come back to over and over via the vinyl medium.
It is not the downloaders, but rather the way music is still marketed which has caused the music which we love so much to suffer.
The size of the deep and soulful house music crowd has shrunk for a number of reasons (i.e. a goodly number of us are older with kids in college and second mortgages to pay off), but chiefly because the love of deep soulful house had not been passed on to the next generation.
I will share a tear as yet another of our number has succumbed to space constraints (or age).
