Its an ongoing journal report written by a Slate journalist. I typically enjoy their articles and find them fairly accurate/fair without succumbing to the typical obvious choosing sides of both left and right wing media.....

It brings up some interesting thoughts in my mind though... specifically, I would really like to hear a typical Iraqi's understanding of what the hell is going on in their country and why its happening. I'm quite sure they don't have even 1/10th of the full story, but I would be really interested in hearing what their reality looks like.....

Does someone still have the weblink of that diary kept by a young Iraqi man? I know it has been posted here already, but I ran a search, and I can't seem to find it anymore. It was something with Bloq Log if I remember correctly

Nice article by that Slate journalist by the way

That Slate journalist is out of his f'in mind~!!!!
They've got brontosaurus balls for doin' that shizit! God Bless everyone through this....It's very interesting though to see things from the other side of the fence...I was trying to get to the Al-Jazeera site but I think they may be blockin' it from this side of the fence...I don't know if that's at all possible but it shure seems that way.....also what the hell is an e-bomb?

link to al jazeer is a bit of a problem as ppl are clogging it so you may still get the timeout error.

anybody interested in this other site that is done by a russian aviation nut. His site has translated russian intelligence, some gathered from interecepted radio transmissions of americans in the war. I know it sounds like bs, but when CNN was talking about Basra being secure 2-3 days ago, this site was saying that there was fierce fighting going on (not secured), and low and behold a day later CNN was saying that Basra was not secured and basically giving much of the same details (a day later)...so far seems accurate, but some may see it being a bit too content with showing americans having difficulty. check it out if you wanna see a different view:

What proof is there that this Salem/Pax or whatever its called, the Blog deal... what proof is there that this is real?

What, because he is listing details of things that I could just as easily make up based off of watching CNN and knowing that no one else reading the site will ever know the difference.... ?

I'm just curious....

Deesko,
I don't know really, cause didn't study the site in detail yet. somebody asked for it and i saw the link in an article yesterday. so i really don't know what's up with that site. i guess that warblogging and all the private newssites are an interesting phenomenon but still didn't find the time myself to further explore it.

constantin Cool.... I wasn't trying to question anyones motives for posting the links... I have read quite of bit of that site and find it interesting and good reading....

.. but I do find it at least somewhat entertaining to know that the site has been touted by mass media, various websites, etc etc and given some sort of "legitimacy" and for all we know its some smart ass in Arizona who has nothing better to do than see how many people he can lasso into his own personal game.

Peace </font>[/QUOTE]Of what I've read , 'experts' would agree that this can only be written by someone who is actually living in Bagdad (cf. the Guardian Article)..Of course, that still doesn't solve the question about who is really behind it..You never know in these days..I think it is good reading but not more..
