The younger Chicago crowd is not into House like we were - due to DJ's playing GOD as of music, Clear Channel trying to play GOD in general...
Now the whole thing went down the drain and is in the gutter.
My children like some of "My Music" as they call it (make me feel old as dirt smile.gif )that is played while I drive but, when they get with their friends...House Music is not the Music that get requested for the drive.

My daughter is crazy about the House mix of this song, plays it for her friends, and even had it played at their school dance...(JMJ put me up on that artist) Now my daughter knows more about this artist than I do. Shock's the hell outta me!
For the sake of argument - say I told her - "that ain't real House music" then played some B-side BS / deeper than thou music like group A DJ crew, or I played my edit of Big Freak as an example of "Real House Music" she would look at me and say - " Dad, You're kidding right?"
If Chicago DJ's would had played what was comming out insted of calling it late / passing judgement on a song, House would be live & well in Chicago.
Since when did it become a crime to play The Perculator, Follow Me & or Brighter Days?
I am glad that I was always one to play non floor clearing music (as JMJ & I call it) and play what make people move (on the floor and not out the door)
