Hi all,

We have just finished a new track called "Be Right". It's a Deep House number with a cheeky break which i'm sure some will know! There are a couple of labels interested in this but any feedback would be much appreciated.

It's ok. Best part is the break in the middle of the track where I thought this could be something great but nothing happens... There is no any kind hook that would keep me interested. The whole track is like an introduction to something great that really never starts.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for taking the time to listen. I'm glad you dig the track and will deff keep you updated. However it looks like quite a large underground house label will be taking this at present which will be a great move for us if it comes off.

Thanks for the feedback and taking the time to listen. The idea of the track was as a deep warm up track probably in a more European sound than most are into on here. It is purposely done in a subtle way but I guess it isn’t for everyone and the danger is it comes across as too stripped back. The other reason of course is because of the sample that we replayed, I didn’t want it to use any more than what we did otherwise it becomes a bootleg or remix if that makes sense?

I would be interested to hear something that you rate though as a point of reference. I’m always intrigued as to what others like, plus it may give me some ideas.

No problem! That's why we post our tracks in here :) I said that this track isn't interesting enough for me but it's produced very well. It sounds good technically and the structure is good.

I personally like very much deep/techy/minimal stuff but there has to be some kind of hook in a track. I can't define what kind of thing that should be, when you hear it you know it. So the track doesn't need complicated melodies etc. although I like very much soulful and jazzy house which has this kind of things. Good example about deep and techy could be this track "Manuel Tur - Acorado" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZ3xIsSngAY&feature=related).

But anyway, congratulations if you can get it released and don't worry too much about my opinion! :) I just though to share you my two cents.

Hey thanks again for listening, it is always good to get an honest opinion as no one need backslappers for every track. I would love you to have a listen to some of our other stuff on the soundcloud page as you may or may not like some of it. Most is released now or about to be released but one thing we do is approach every project completely differently with a blank canvas so nothing sounds the same.

With regards to the track you posted I really like some of Manuel Tur's stuff. Deviate comes to mind as my favourite which I nailed but this one wasn't overly doing it for me. It is a great track but just isn't my sound, that kind of synth lead reminds me too much of my prog days. I could imagine Digweed of Sasha nailing this though for sure.

But then I guess that’s the great thing about music? Especially house music there is something for everyone.

This is a cool track. Nice use of a familier sample too. I'd play it.

Thanks for taking the time to listen. Yeah we replayed the sample but I always wanted to do something with it as it is one of my fav tracks ever. Sort of paying homage if you will.

Nice production man, a little bit too proggy for my own tastes but I could see it fitting in nicely to sets influenced by the likes of Joris Voorn or Arturo Garces. Is that a Gypsy Woman sample? nice and subtle anyway with a nice groove in the bass line.

Yep I totally agree with Smok the whole track sounds like an intro, the song is hungry for a hook dawg and the low end needs some work, I know the low frequencies need to be PHAT but not "FAT". The kick is not cutting through the mix and the bass needs some eq to make it fit in the mix.

Not to say it's a bad track, I also like the track but you need to work on your mixing skills or pay someone to do it for you.

Cheers M8!!!
