The Catholic Church contributes to the problem in that it welcomes Hispanic immigrants, most especially the poorest and the most illegal, even allowing its priests and nuns to smuggle them in across the porous borders. But it will shortly itself run out of funds, having so many child molestation cases to settle and social services to provide for those who are willing to work but are not willing to stop having children. No Mexican ever heard of birth control -- and not because he fears the Church's opposition. He only listens to the Church when it suits him. Protestant evangelicals have been making special efforts to win the religious favor and allegiance of Mexican immigrants. They are most welcome to them!"
Hey, I read it on the Internet, the authors call it "political commentary," and the website even has "report" in its name!! It must be a bona fide, informed view of what's going on in California, then.
