just one new record:
putsch'79 '1300' [clone] 'glowing cat' can rival the best of metro area!
and i visited a HUGE recordfare in my hometown yesterday, and got these:
gil scott heron 'pieces of a man' lp [flying dutchman]
elektrik funk 'on a journey' 12" [epic]
ian dury 'spasticus autisticus' 12" [?]; the vocals are horrible imho, but the intro and break are just screaming for a re-edit!
marvin gaye 'i want you' lp [motown]
the dells 'no way back' lp [mercury]; allready had a copy, but 'adventure [no way back pt.2]' had more pops and clicks than a jan jellinek record, luckily this copy is clean, so another re-edit in the making.
nightlife unlimited 'just be yourself' lp [uniwave]
donald byrd 'places & spaces' lp [blue note]
and an album by hampton hawes, and 2 george benson lp's [early george benson 60's] but i can't recall the titles, and i'm not near my records at the moment...
all [except 'pieces of a man'] for 10 euro's a piece or less!

jurren </font>[/QUOTE]Don't want to start somtehing here, but I think that Putsch 79 is a little bit too much on the Metro Area bandwagon. Come on, even the way the tracks are put on this ep is crying "ENVIRON", especially with one of them being down tempo...I got mad angry as I heard and saw this record...

The Kuumba LP is by a collective of muscians, including Herbie Hancock., Mtume, Jimmy / Albert Heath & Don Cherry amongst others and has a deep spiritual vibe running throughout.
The liner text is interesting - i'll try and post some later.

Farley "Jackmaster" Funk & Jesse Saunders "Love Can't Turn Around" House Records So you found that Glitter Band. "Makes You Blind" is the cut. The Black Ivory you found, is that the Mainline 12" on Buddah? If so, that's a very rare 12". I had Black Ivory's "Walking Downtown" 12" on Buddah and traded it for a Lamont Dozier "Back to my Roots" album and a Universe City album.
New stuff:
"Yes Lord" -- Kurt Lykes, Boo Williams & Glenn Underground
"It's All Over" -- Lego (test press)
"Closer to You" -- Roy Davis Jr.
Incognito's "Who Needs Love" album hail.gif
"Drive/Rock (Unplugged)" -- DJ Spinna
"It's Over" -- Mobb Deep
DJ Premier Unreleased Instrumentals vol.7
"Life" -- K. Fox
Old Stuff:
"Shake Your Body" 12" -- Jeanette Thomas
"Dap Dippin" album -- Sharon Jones & the Dap Kings
"Help is on the Way" 12" -- Whatnauts on Harlem International
"2nd Resurrection" album -- Stairsteps
"Feel It" 12" -- Revelation
"Hot for You" 12" -- Brainstorm

The ones I have say 5:27 but I haven't clocked them to check.
You wanna trade that "Shake Your Body" for "Magnifique"??
