I think sueno was kidding...
Riders On The Storm - I have a re-mix of it came out on Ibizzare or something last year - it's quite good...
I'm sure nightmares on wax did a remix of this a
couple of years back. Don't know about the original though.

Why even think about it?
Sometime's remixer's-producer's can go to far with there own version when in fact the original version is the first and last best"!
It's never been on a 12", and ritefully so.

I should say that the remix is simply a few extra 'rain sounds added' plus a bit of an echo and a tweaking of the drums...it sounds pretty natural.
thanks a lot, now i won't be able to get this song outta my head

Why would there need to be a 12" of "Riders on the Storm"? The original is over seven minutes long. Thank God there isn't a 12". That would be excessive.

Speaking of remixes. Do you guys remember Big Countrys, "Big Country"?
Vocal went somethin' like "in a big country dreams stay alive ......lah-dee-dah-dee-dah...countrysiiiiiiide" then those bagpipes came in.
Anywaysssss, theres a white label progressive remix out that totally destroys the song. When will people learn, "if it aint broke don't fix it!!" mad1.gif

Big Country purveyours of the " Bagpipe" guitar sound. Lead singer recently commited suicide, very sad.

ONE OF THE BEST KEPT SECRETS OF REMIXES(TO ME AT LEAST)IS HARDY'S CONTINUOUS BLEND OF THE SKATT BROTHER'S "WALK THE NIGHT" WITH THE "RIDERS..." CHORUS GOING THROUGH IT. ANYONE REMEMBER IT?

one of my favourite club moments was when francois k played this at southport after being qouted i don't play rock in the program!!
he also played jimmi hendrix as an opening track
now thats making a point biggrinangel.gif
he played the full thunderstorm intro with the lights off and a strobe for storm effect it nearly made me cry untill some bloke next to me stuck his finger up and said this is shit get it bangin mate :( i told him in anger to p**s off to another room if he wasn't enjoying it graemlins/cussing.gif
This is already a great song...I don't think there should be a remix

What a way to start off the weekend. Where's Beevis and Butthead when you need them.

God I was so into that big country song and video! I remember that guys hair! I went out and got my hair cut just like it. I had it long in the back so that my girlfriend could braid it in small braids like the bass player in Kajagogogo. I was so euro-trash! Riders on the Storm, huh?
There's a Killer on the road,
His brain is sqirmin' like a Toad.
Peace.
