MPC 2000 owners, and ex-owners!

How much should I pay for my memory cards for my MPC 2000? If you try to buy them at Sam Ash it's like $60 each chip = at least $120 total. Rock & Soul $50 each, cash total chips = $100.

But someone told me if I go to a computer store it should be about $30 each, $60 for both.

Anyone know what I should ask for if I go to a computer store? What kind of memory chip is it? I don't want to **** up my mpc. Where else can I go to purchase them?

FYI, I had my MPC2000 since like 97 and I still haven't purchased memory and only have my 10 seconds stereo memory that it comes with! Hahahahaa, I am a lazy **** but I also learned how to use my samples wisely as a result...

Hahahahaa, I am a lazy **** but I also learned how to use my samples wisely as a result... The only thing I'm not sure of is whether the MPC uses 30pin simms or 72pin simms. You wanna get 2 16megs simms and you can probably find them cheaper on ebay if you look.

I found 16megs for my asr-10 rack mount for like $8.00. I bid on MAC memory cause the old macs used 30pin simms.

I have to make sure, but I'll let you know for certain if someone else doesn't.
