anyone hear of damian hall being found dead in a greyhound bus?

He’s Yet Alive: By now you know the rumors of Guy member Damion "Crazy Legs" Hall being found dead are false. My phone and 2way pager rang like crazy as the alleged report spread faster than free marijuana at a Wu Tang concert. I immediately reached out to a friend whom I knew worked with Teddy Riley and Teddy’s manager assured her that Teddy had spoken with Damion’s father and the rumor was not true. Then the former manager of another artist I know actually phoned Damion himself. Lastly, New York City radio personality and television talent Egypt sent me an e-mail further confirming that the whole story was a hoax. Egypt said “[Damion] was extremely disturbed and upset about the rumors to say the least.”

For those who hadn’t heard, Damion was reportedly found dead in the luggage compartment of a Greyhound bus in Cleveland, OH. The story was created online as a fake report from the Associated Press on June 4th. It read, “Damion "Crazy Legs" Hall, one-third of the late 80's and early 90's hit R-N-B group "Guy" was found dead in the baggage compartment of a Greyhound bus. Cleveland police got the call early yesterday evening as the Greyhound bus driver whose name is not being disclosed, was doing a pre-trip inspection on the 45-passenger bus. "A foul odor was coming from the back of the bus, I thought the pump to the sewage tank we have may had leaked." To his shock, he found the 33-year-old crooner lying in a fetal position. "I hope he didn't crawl in trying to hitch a ride.” The bus just got in from a nonstop trip from Chicago.”


The fake report went on to talk about Damion’s accomplishments in the music business and said he was apparently working on a Guy reunion. Damion told Egypt that a Guy reunion was not in the works, though he and brother Aaron wouldn’t mind doing one. He said that Teddy currently has a different agenda and it doesn’t include Guy.

Let’s hope these rumors and false reports stop. They’re starting to really get carried away.
