Solu / Wave are circulating promo's. Track comes out in a couple of weeks. Full-on groove supplied by Hex Hector that carries the original vocal in its entirety. Slow the track down to - 4
and turn it up. Leaves the lame original for dead.

We all know this one, the original was kinda cute for a long while, but it smacks of 'Naked Records' when I play it now. I played and played it, a bit like eating too much chocolate...
I doubt there's any need revisiting this one graemlins/sleep2.gif

I dunno, I can't look at Kimblee the same after her not so good performance at the Shelter anniversary. Anybody else remember her saying "Give It Up For Me", like she been around for 12 years. Imma sleep on those remixes graemlins/sleep2.gif

Found a link to the Hex Hector mix on Wave Music site:
http://www.wavemusic.com/wave-release/162
The mix is quite nice - not sure if I'd pick it up, but it's nice. I wasn't crazy about the original - but I think I prefer the original to this new mix - although I'd like to hear the whole mix.

KimbAlee? Is that like the sister of Lumidee?
And the original rocks, especially when working it with the 'earth' mix...

listened to the mix. not bad at all.
the original is a favorite of mine so i won't compare but hex did a nice job (sounds more like dfa as opposed to his usual progressive-ish-ness)
with his name on it this remix may just blow up in the commercial clubs if the original has not already.

I agree that it sounds very DFA-ish. It ain't bad.
I really like that string-breakdown of the original. On a good sound-system you feel that shit inside your rib-cage!

This song makes me remember the last days of body and soul :(
Original all the way.
Kimblee kinda reminds me of Stevie Nicks.

Maybe wave should leave a classic alone and concentrat on bringing out more of the same rather than re-tooling what was great and is now a little played. i do still play tio from time to time, but Hex Hector? Musta cost 'em a mint yunless he did one for the fam. But then again, i didn't know he and Francois were fam.

so over the vocal...don't think i can stomach another mix.
I finally heard it last night. Thought it was okay. I don't plan on buying it when it comes out. Then again, I'm a hard person to please when it comes to music.
