someones conversation and not having the decency to know when to butt out. I see NO need to hijack a thread when you can just start your own. What are you REALLY trying to do?? It's rude!! Some think it's a joke and it's not. Ya wanna act like a fvckin' kid do it on your own thread. If you don't like a person you should leave them and their thread alone..period. Some people kill me with the shit that they pull on message boards and would never even have the nerve to try this shit face to face. And then to jump on and talk shit to a female makes you look like a lil bitch. All ya do is complain about everything anyways... If ya say ya don't know who or what I'm talking about..you're lying.

Every single one of my posts was relevant to Jennifer's dillemma, I was in no way disrepecting her and I act in real life exactly the same way I do on message boards.

Its much like Bill Murray's situation in Lost in Translation, he was trapped in Tokyo repeating the same day over and over again yet all he had to do was get the deeper understanding necessary to free himself from the matrix and then he would be able to save New York from its ghost infestation.

mathematics.

And another that you just don't care for this persons thread and you decide you want to Hijack it and make her/his her thread into something else..

Like I said Its called respect..

If you don't like what a person is posting then stay the hell out the thread. Somethings may seem stupid to you but not to the person who is asking..

And if you have a personal thing with that person even better reason to stay out of it.. graemlins/conf44.gif

You're not mad about the responses. You're mad about the IRREVERENCE with which they responded.

The sarcasm of their film comments implies that they felt Jennifer was fooling herself, knew what the problems were, and asked for advice under false pretenses when, in fact, she craved SUPPORT for what she allowed to happen to her.

People get tired of the meek and naive role - I know I do. This ain't notes being passed in Study Hall - we're adults here.

On the real side..besides Seth Coyote (Big up Sammy Rock and Seth!!! AR15firing.gif )...there are no kids on the board...yet sometimes adults can get pulled into some real child level sh*t behavior within some of these posts. Sometimes I am embarrassed for the thread starters.

"I think people who post requests for personal advice on message boards are really after support for stupid shit they've done - just like Cypher wanted to be reinserted back into the Matrix after he took the red pill.

Most of these people already know the answers to their question...just like the Architect revealed to Neo he already knew the answers.

See, people already made the choice to do selfish bullshit, they just need to know WHY they made the choice...just like the Oracle told Neo.

Because, if you're not honest with yourself, your problems will multiply exponentially...just like the 1000 Agent Smiths multiplied on Neo."

Y'all need to lighten up ALOT.

jennifer was asking why a guy she had agreed not to speak to after a weekend away was funny with her and is not speaking to her after the weekend away.

Thats a little amusing and Jennifer would get the most peace if she saw the humour in what she was thinking and could then check herself for how she REALLY felt. I dont know how she really feels, until she gets present to that, its all bullshit.

I communicated this many times in the thread so stop being such whiny little ****. You all reminding me of Rick moranis's character in Groundhog Day - the keymaster or whatever.

Ever heard of BALANCE?

An adult woman posts personal business on the DHP. An overwhelming number of emotionally reactive idiots post "**** him." and "He's a dick." and "Sorry girl. You'll be ok." and all sorts of other phony bullshit.

After a while, the laws of balance will impart DISPLACEMENT. If there wasn't such an imbalance of foolish niceties spewed by lazy thinkers, there wouldn't have been room for sarcasm to take root.

Threads get "JACKED" because fools leave the keys in the car.

Please think real hard then answer! Your smart ass hell but full of complete shit and it stinks! graemlins/conf44.gif Either you get it or you don't. It is a shame that a lot of peeps here don't understand irony mixed with subtle commentary. But, for those who do, it is a hell of a lot more interesting read than the style that normally fills the board.

Regarding the other thread: Why do people feel the need to regulate others' responses, but fail to regulate (or even criticize) the original topic?

As far as it being "evil and immature"—I could name a long list of writers and filmmakers who use similar techniques. Like Bill Murray in Stripes, when he does what seems to be an uncoventional, goofy parade routine to prove that the unit is actually well skilled.

I was clearly flirting with Brenda by referencing the part in Groundhog day where Bill Murray and Renne Zellwegger are in the lift with the deaf people who manage to communicate more honestly and deeply with sign language than they can with their own words. As long as Bill Murray holds onto his "Show Me The Money" mentality, he will forever be destined to repeat the same day of being a being a bumbling groundsman at a golf club obsessed with catching a mischeivous groundhog.

I completely agree with Rich on this one. Hijacking is wrong, and I don't like it. I hate hijacking just about as much as I hate pepperoni on my pizza. I much prefer sausage and cheese or sausage, cheese and mushroom. Onions are OK too, and definitely deep dish over thin crust. Not a big fan of stuffed pizza either. Anybody here LIKE stuffed pizza?? She did ask. And actually asked a specific person. That's like me and you are having a convo and we're talking about chess and someone else INTERRUPTS our convo because they got issues with one of us. Then they start trying to talk about water polo LOUDLY so that we can't finish our convo when they could have stepped somewhere else and started talking to someone else that wanted to talk about water polo. You don't have to tell someone when they are foul they should know it but just in case they wanna play like they don't..I DON'T HAVE A PROBLEM REMINDING THEM.

Post a link to a movie, mix, website you have out there and the responses you get back may be harsh. It's no different with this, except people are taking exception because Jennifer is a woman. That's what I see.

How about we keep this same line of courtesy when everyone blasts someone for a wack mix or when everyone houses someone else's grammar (HULK SMASH).

I generally don't post (or even read) on topics about politics or religion. I keep my beliefs to myself. Anything music or sports-related and I'm in, which is great with football and basketball season currently overlapping. The Oklahoma Sooners are well on their way to the national championship in football, and I'm pretty excited about the Bulls this year. Eddy Curry could end up being the best center in the Eastern Conference, Jamal Crawford is becoming a star, and the Bulls have a good chance to make the playoffs this year, although the Nets, Pacers, and Pistons will fight it out for the top spot in the East. The Bulls play the Wizards tonight in the season opener at 7:30 tonight. Anybody else looking forward to this?? The Lakers looked pretty good last night without Kobe. Anybody stay up for that one?? I thought the Mavs were gonna give them a better game than that, but the season is early........JMJ

Dude, we've settled it, it was all an intervention to stop JMJ from posting in every thread. </font>
While I post quite a bit, I don't post in EVERY thread, and like I posted earlier, this hijacking thing has got to stop. I thought the Mavs were gonna give them a better game than that, but the season is early........JMJ </font>
Ha, Ha and I wanted to reply.

Etiquette is a variable in such a large community. Text communication can be confusing and frustrating if you let it.
