Unfortunate April Fool's Day (1984)

While we usually celebrate this day with practical jokes and purposeful misleading info, let's not forget that this is the 19th anniversary of Marvin Gaye's death at the hands of his own father. The ironic part was that because Marvin's father shot him on April 1, 1984, many people thought it was a joke, until you saw Gaye's body on a body bag.

THANX FOR THE REMINDER. I REMEMBER THAT DAY BEING UP IN THE SHERMAN PARK FIELD HOUSE AT A BASKETBALL GAME WHEN THEY ANNOUNCED IT ON THE RADIO. EVERYBODY THOUGHT IT WAS A JOKE.
