What he said. Honestly I loved meeting you all. No pretention considering how many DJs were there. Everyone was sooo down to earth and just positive vibes.
Special thanks to Tony Bracey and Sherman Oliver for letting us use your grill and invading your space. Man Sherman that honey was fly!!! Bernard was like "who is that, introduce me to her...oh she's with him."
Gman...Your humbleness proves as wisdom and the world could use more of what you got. NOTICED HOW DISCOGODESS USED THE WORD CATALYST!!! Sorry about the picture though...MY mom doesn't even have a pic of me. Hope I was making sense when I was talking to you, I was lit.
Nice to meet you all Chicago's Deep House Page community!!!

@aKiLa: Sorry I didn't get a chance to meet you yesterday...
I HAD A GREAT TIME at the picnic and afterparty...truly a family vibe. smile.gif It was wonderful to put screen-names and faces together, see the beautiful kids running around (DJ Chex and his wife's tribe were too friggin cute) and dig the tunes being spun (even AFTER our generator mishap!).
Thanks JMJ and Part Sixx for organizing...now see all yall @ the Chosen Few in a few weeks!
Now, only one question remains: what are yall doing for my b-day on Saturday?
:D
:D
:D
:D
P.S. Thanks, Gman (and Linda, for the t-shirt!), for putting so much of yourself into this site, which served as the catalyst for yesterday's festivities. graemlins/remybussi.gif
I am completely wiped out right now!! Hungover isn't the word...I had an absolutely wonderful time at both the picnic and the party last night at Orly's, which was the friggin' BOMB!!! When the windows start sweating, you know the party is ON, and it was!! The dance floor was packed til close! Orly's is now on the house music map in Chicago!
About the generator mishap - It ran out of gas!! We lost track of time and forgot that it runs through a full tank in only 3 hours!! It was a small tank too. Thanks to JM3 for lending us the generator... hail.gif
It was great to see everybody having such a good time at the picnic, nice meeting a few of the folks I didn't know, and it was especially great to see the kids having fun together. The food was great, there was plenty of beer, the music was lovely, and I'm just very thankful to have played a small part in hosting a wonderful event that truly brought everyone together. Thank you DHP!! hail.gif As worn out as I am right now, I honestly can't wait for the picnic next year!!......JMJ ;)

thought i should be, for some odd reason i am not completely wiped out, or hungover today.
a bit drained yeah, but i'm feeling pretty damn fine today.
those that were chillin by our bench know how much liquor we had in circulation.
everybody stepped up with a bottle of something. plus what seemed like an unlimited amount of beer.
not to mention we had so much food that we were begging people to take it off our hands by the end.
thanks to JMJ, Leonard, the Deejays and everyone else who played a role in making this a spectacular time. graemlins/beerchug.gif

we came through just like we said we would in the threads throughout the week.
we came with plenty of food and drink for everybody.
our bench was the one furthest from the porto-potty. graemlins/rofl.gif way on the left side (if you were facing the Dj booth) of the field.
the music sounded really nice (acoustically) where we were chillin.
Bernard Badie pointed that out to me.
he had us walking around the park listening to the way it sounded in different spots.

Thank you Leonard and JMJ for putting on a wonderful picnic. It was nice meeting some of you for the first time and a pleasure seeing a lot of you again. Good people, good music and a beautiful day makes for a great time.
Really sorry for not making the after party like I planned but a long drive, combined with drinking and eating so much at the picnic did us in. We went back to my brothers house to lay our heads down for a few and that was all she wrote http://deephousepage.com/smilies/blush.gif Looks like we missed a great time with the family. Saturday was a stone-cold groove baby!!!
The weather was nice, the people were warm, the music was great, and boy did we eat!!!
Sense Products ('T'), you are special --- in a good way! Dude, I was really praying that you and your crew made it back home safely (and you know why!). It was great sharing the grill with you, Akila, and crew. Hope to see you all at the next picnic.
Greg, your company proved to be my Kryptonite (hint, hint!)!!! You definitely made sure that I 'felt' the music! Thanks for sharing! Also, you know you beat the box. Correct title of the song I asked about --- Black Rage or Black Ice??? Let me know.
Jamie 326, you too did the damn thang! You had that female-cut (I can't remember the name, but I did ask you about it (possibly by 'Ambrosia???) playing in my head for some time that night. Smokin'!!! Also, it was nice hearing Joes' 'Love Scene. That has always been a favorite of mine, and you definitely did it justice! Nice meeting you bruh. You're good people!
Steve Price - Always a good sign when I see you at a party! Also, let's others know that you really do exist and are not just a figment of our imagination! I'll be hitting you up soon.
Mr. Oliver, my partner-in-crime, thanks bruh! You did the most important thing of all --- brought the FOOD!!! This weekend, the lamb chops are on me. Song selections were on point! Good job!
Leonard Part Sixx JMJ, Thanks! You guys pulled off a wonderful event! I know that it was a monumental effort to get the proper licenses and insurance for the event, and I must say, everything went smoothly. You guys served the music up quite well, thank you.
G-Man, thanks for the t-shirt! Of course I wore it proudly as soon as I got in and got myself together. Good seeing and talking to you again. I'll be sending you something soon. Say hello to Linda!
To everyone in attendance on Saturday --- Thanks a bunch!
Peace.
