Last Saturday in the TDot-
For someone who was intrigued by the history of it all, I was richly rewarded.
There are times when you feel the passion of the people and the dj's when they speak about Levan- the pleasure and the pain...makes you empathize.
It made me think of Hendrix or a great jazz musician like Parker. There is a profile shot/still of Levan's face when he is mixing or eq'ing that looks just like Hendrix hitting and extending and tweaking and prolonging a note.
What's the diff in those 2 artists? Levan was a rock star.
I highly recommend it for those who know and those that don't.
Will there ever be another Levan is like asking will there ever be another Hendrix.
