DAMN I want to come and visit WMC this year, but the airfare is keeping me put. Do you think $367.79 is too much for a connecting flight (round trip)? Direct flight going down is now $447.09 (connecting flight coming back). Direct flight going both ways is over $500.

When you think about it, paying $400-$500 dollars you might as well think of going overseas to some place you've never been..
Any other time, Miami is around $200 round trip (direct)

So maybe Brazil or Southport Weekender(Croatia) might happen after all.

try sidestep.com and us.lastminute.com and check the box where it says other nearby airports. The fare is usually much cheaper flying into/from Milwaukee than the Chi and the drive is not that bad at all.

Fort Lauderdale - is the way to go peeps! I flew into Miami and wish I had done Fort Lauderdale once I found out how close it was.

I blog about WMC year round and one of the main things I mention over and over in my blogs when it comes to Air fare is to book EARLY. WAY EARLY Southwest Airlines is mad cheap when you book early. Also book packages you can save a lot. One last thing public Transport is pretty good in Miami South Beach area even late at night and early mornings. So you wont have to rent a car if you're within 4 miles of your hotel. I say 4 Miles simply because it is easier to get back to change clothes and regroup. I think I slept 3-4 hours a day the whole time I was there last. Mostly in the Cab or Bus I slept in the early mornings. I was live blogging all day so I was running around a bunch.
