Registration question for music

So the time has come to make a decision about who to register with BMI or ASCAP. I would eventually like to be listed as both a songwriter and a publisher but I am going with publisher first. I have investigated the cost of each and ascap is the less expensive of the two. But as we all know cost isn't always the best deciding factor......So DHP give me some feedback/thoughts/or experience on this matter.....

I'm with BMI as a song writter and ASCAP for my Publishing. I think ASCAP is The better of the 2

I registered as a songwriter and as a publisher both with ASCAP. At the time Registration was free, and it's pretty easy to get in touch with the ASCAP people if you have any questions, concerns or whatever. The only thing that sucks is the gazillion emails you get everyday, but I guess it could be worse.

Personally, I Don't know too much about BMI...
