help on cd turntable hookup

Question is there any special hook up from regular turntables as oppose to cd turntables I just purchases a Denon and when I hooke it up to my mixer all I got was a loud humming noise can someone help a brother out

You have it hooked up in a phono input,when it should be plugged into a line input instead.Try that....switch your cords to the line in jacks and switch the selector over to cd/line.Should work for ya...

and remember to hook up the ground wire or you will def get a buzz.
