How are you guys dealing with the fires down there. I know that in the past this was more or less an annual event, but this onem, possibly a result of arson, is doing some serious damage.

How are you guys coping with the situation? God Bless you all!!

Peace

I am waiting to hear from some of my people in the San Diego area now. This shit is not cool at all. They found one of the hunters that started the fire. mad1.gif

There's nothing left to burn. Everything is burning right now and the winds don't help. I'm ok since I live deep within the city so those fires aren't gonna affect me. However, I feel bad for those people that are being affected by it. It was hell over the weekend.

thanks for the good wishes. it's pretty devasating. it is really hard to breathe and the headache won't go away, but it's nothing compared to those who lost their lives and their homes and the wild life that exists in those areas, just makes me feel so bad. One thing I cannot understand is why are there looters ransacking the burned down homes...why? Don't these people have any kind of heart or are they just mendigos (stupid in spanish)who have no human conscience. I am just in awe.

one thing i don't understand is why people keep building into these areas that are full of dry brush. it's like asking for this to happen.

andrea, i hope everything is ok/will be ok in your area.

Daniel, I was thinking about you when I heard that Malibu had a small fire, but fortunately, it was quickly put down. It was something to hear one resident say that she could not step on her burned yard because it was too hot for her to step on the Earth. That statement made me realize how delicate our existance is on this Earth. It will be slightly cooler today and the winds are tame right now. Let's just hope it stays that way.

it became a sad reality to me when i got up a few days ago and seeing ash on my car.... i started thinking that that ash could be part of somebodies life. i have had a fire come less than half a mile from my house and it's damn scary. i hope all those people recover.

p.s. i hope daniel never becomes a stoopid rich white person! stay hard fool.

it's not getting better. Now the San Fernando Valley is on fire. fires have even gone into Baja Mexico, killing two.

From ABC News:

Death, destruction, and no relief in sight. Officials say some fire crews are too exhausted to continue, and that "blocks of homes" are going to burn to the ground

Most of my boy's extended family lives in crestline... don't know if they still have homes? that shit is ****ed!
My pops just put me on one about the animals, I hadn't even thought of that shit...f'n hippy (not you hippy74).
I'm all cool where I stay, in the city, but I work in the valley and its real smokey out there. The sunset was SICK the other night... a red sun behind black clouds of smoke...
If they find these arsonists they ought to ****ing burn them alive... I don't know what their motives are....if they're pyros and they just get off on seeing the shit burn or they were really trying to cause all this damage but they can ****ing suffer for all I care.

you know my boss was complaining about the smoke but then she still goes and smokes 20 cigerets a frikin day.
The smoke and ashes are a trip, but at least where I stay at I remeber it being way worse in the riots...now that shit was a trip... ****in surreal... hundreds of plumes of smoke coming up from the city, hasn't shit topped that yet for me...

yo bold soul... you're way deep dude.

Peace and I hope everybody and their loved ones are and continue to be safe.

Too many divergent levels of civilization. Scary when you think about how much division exists between members of the same species. Every time I see the red sun and moon, I think of how violently humans persue their separation from other humans.

Used to be swords and guns...now we use credit reports and the minimum wage... :(

I live in San Diego, right in the middle of all of this. So far almost 300,000 acres burned and an estimated 1000 homes lost. Our whole town is burning and they cant seem to stop it. The fire here was started by a hunter who got lost, so he started a fire to try and signal his friends. He is now the most hated man in San Diego. Please wish us some good luck....we need it.
