Just got wind of a cover of this by Taja on the Basment Boys label.

I think it was mentioned here previously.
Apparantly, this was released as white labele promos a while back. The full release was 9/08/03.

Has anyone been beating this?

Sounds like a tight cover.

I attended two nite of the new season at the Red Zone in Perugia(Italy) and at both of them Sauro Cosimetti played a cover of "Sympathy for the Devil"...if it's the same version we're talkin about i think it's very nice...jazzy and percussive..

The Neptunes are coming out with a remix/re-edit of the orginal Stones song. ;)

I'm not really that keen on it. I like Taja Sevelle's voice a lot though...Love Is Contagious is one of my favourite records.


I don't like the Neptunes mix or, worse, the Norman Cook/Fatboy Slim remix. The original stands as a good record.

The best cover is by Thrashing Doves IMHO.

And as previously noted its SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL- Big Brotha fix the thread title!!

Jolyon I agree with you as the song in its original form should have been enough.
