Just got back from "town". Y'all (the serious Chicago heads) will never guess what the hell I picked up on the hum-drum.
Generate Power
"Wild Pitch Mix"
For anyone that went to the Warehouse on Randolph Street from 1992-1994... y'all know that was the Warehouse's anthem. You were sure to hear the song played almost in its entirety on the first level every night it was open.
...And pitched up to +4
...It still sounds damn good.

Man... I am probably the only reason they kept serving Budweiser and Amaretto Sours.
Ha! Ha! Ha!
Who didn't drink Amaretto Sours in the Warehouse? Cheapest and tastiest "well drink" ever to be served!!!

I got my ID from someone at UIC. The look-a-like game was all the rage on campus. I would've pissed myself if they actually asked me to recite the social security number.

I also knew about the flea markets. Those were the days.

That's where I got mine too! Of course, I lived there, so that made it better (back then, nobody would question an out-of-state ID).
Yeah, I'd skate in there with my fake papers too...all the way over from Gary. Then I'd come back home and tell folks at school about the time I had and they wouldn't believe me and call me a liar...but I knew better and that made it all the sweeter....
Ahh...back in the day....

Took Mike so long to come back because, He didn't want to remember those whoopings he got.

I remember that anthem all too well. With a Blue MotherF**ker in one hand and a man in another on the dance floor cuttin up. Ooooooh my, I found plenty of trouble at the Warehouse. graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

Okay, whycome I went the "legal" route to get my illegal ID on back in the day? I'm so old that my original birth certificate was handwritten (+ some typed in stuff), so between a copy machine and some scissors, I was in the casa!
I went to college in Indiana, and back then, the DMV was much more lenient about allowing copies of birth certificates to get IDs...so I was sporting the "legal" State of Indiana ID card all the way to the Warehouse, A.K.A.'s, Coconut's, the Phoenix and anywhere else I wanted to go in the late 80s and very early 90s. So much so that my 21st b-day was anti-climatic... My sister was bold and got an Illinois a state ID card with one of my sorority sister's info, and was always nervous that a bouncer was gonna ask her to recite the SSN or the addy on the card...I remember many times where she was feverishly memorizing the info on the card as we parked the car! :D
