You will get bombarded so much in the next three months it will start giving you the 'Days Like This' syndrome.

On the subject though.......

I really thought Gloria's Muse was gonna REALLY be big and played the **** out everywhere...seems I was wrong on that one....it deserved it though.

Yep Matt...that's the one.

I don't mind the "Days Like This" overplaying. But if I'm gonna kill people if I ever have to hear "Finally" again.

Edit for grammar.

It often involves glass tables.

A friend of mine once met (UK Jazz vocalist) Clio Laine:

Friend: Oh, I've seen you in some jazz mag, haven't I?

CL: Yes! You might well have done!

Friend: I thought so, you do all that scat stuff, don't you?

CL: Yes, I do! That's me!

Maybe it's a UK thing, but it's scientifically known as copraphilia. I wouldn't look it up on the internet.

It's a hot cut for sure.I have no issues wth a good tune.If it's hot,why not play it?

Jamie,I felt the same way you felt about Gloria's Muse.I rocked that cut all last summer and still play it to this day. It's a beautiful piece.Keep on rocking it.You don't always have to just buy and play the popular cuts.

Gloria's Muse is a great record. If this song get's released as a single, it will explode! Meanwhile, keep bangin' it because it is a record worth playing and will stand the test of time.

Peace,

I agree, Gloria’s Muse is the shit.

The problem with some house folks is that wine complain and moan about the radio sucks, one thing being they play the same current ‘hits’ 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, until even the one’s that a bearable start to get on your nerves.

The fact is, in NY at least, they do the same shit with ‘the big hit house cuts’ (which realistically is a contradiction in terms, since what gets played out in NY never hardly ever will get played in most of the US) and if they had control of the damn radio we would here Circa De Mi under their control until we wanted to kill MAW.

Not that there is anything wrong with playing the hits out and about or making them for that matter, its just some are hypocritical.

The same folks that would stick their noses at you if you threw on ‘Finally’ KOT right now at a party are the same people that will play Circa De Mi to death (It’s a good tune).

I don’t care, just hate the hypocrisy shit

But Cerca De Mi is not played out yet.

Btw, I have nothing against dj's playing "hit" records--they are hit records for a reason. Dj's should also not be limited by a certain song's status. Yeah, "Finally" has been played a lot over the last 3 years, but if a dj feels that the time is right, he/she should throw it on no matter what.

Regardless, I hope dj's play "Cerca" a month from now, a year from now, and 5 years from now. I will not be tired of it.

It's the same back here in Singapore cept that the tracks get banged in clubs (week in week out)instead of radio 9cos we don't have dance music on our radio channels :( ). The worn out ones that come to mind are cuts like 'Star Suite', (and yes) 'Days Like These', E Ruim (Zero 7 mix).. as good as they are (especially Star Suite) I'm sick of them and I'll need a good year to recover.

Hello!...don't you know that club is dance music's radio....that's how most find out about the hot stuff....because you record nerds hear Circa De Mi doesn't mean it's played out to the average clubgoer, who, by the way, outnumber all you record nerds and trainspotters.

Circa De Mi is not played out.....it's not played enough.....good music should be played as much as possible....and leave those bullshit tracky records, that was bought because they sounded good in the store, at home!

Play di music, sweet!
