View Full Version : WHY DO SOME PEOPLE ON THIS BOARD...

Dee-Dee Sheridan

turn postive or funny threads into something negative? I've been noticing that's been happening a lot here lately.

Another thing I've noticed is some people will post negative threads and start certain individuals on this board to totally clown, when it's just a message board?

I notice this happens more with newer members & lurkers.

Anyone care to respond to why they think this is happening?

Well Dee, that was my purpose yesterday when I made the "weekly complaining post" I was actually doing it to see if anyone saw the humor in it.

You know there are alot of repressed individuals out there and they need alot of attention http://deephousepage.com/smilies/itsokay.gif

SEXUAL HARRASMENT!! SEXUAL HARRASMENT!!

icon_rofl.gif just kidding icon_rofl.gif

it's because they don't know any better. they came on this board not knowing that everyone here insults, makes fun of etc and that it's all good between us.

by the way, how are you doing, chick-a-dee??!?!

Here on DHP most of us consider each other as extended family members. What's happening with that?

I used to come on this board & have lots of fun, but now I find myself not visiting as much because of all the unwanted DRAMA.

I must admit that sometimes I don't see the humor in a question until someone else posts a humorous response. Then too, sometimes I've made light of serious subjects. It's kind of hard to gage with just typing to go on.

Yeah that's just how family does, we insult each other, make fun, even get mad & ready to fight, But when someone else steps in (stranger-or not fam) we got each others back.

I can relate with that Wild, I done that too, but what I'm saying is that I've noticed that some people post negative things purposely & sometimes it's things that may hurt someone feelings & there's no remorse after the fact.

Hello Dee-Dee.

Well, as far as i see here on DHP, it seem's if you have an objective about someone's post, you are automaticly wronge.
Then the whole white-black issue that seem's to plague every other post here allway's seem to be post by someone that have'nt been heard or seen for in a while on DHP.
Sometime's you have here the "im smarter than you people" that want's an argument or to match wit's with you.
But that's only about 30% of the people here, and sometime's we all know who they are allready.
People are people, black or white, jew's or hebrew's, but on DHP, we all share the same taste in music, the same love and the same feeling "House Music" give's all.
So I realy dont understand the whole racial post here, when we all are the same as one...one love to "House Music"!
That's my 2.cent's.

Respect to all!

A lot of people here are interested in honest dialog on the issues that confront us in this scene and in other areas. You can tell who those people are. In the end motives and intentions become clear. We should acknowledge are the goodness and beauty but address the ugliness as well not hide from it.

If a person take mear words to heart, I guess they must be true - - - the truth hurts - - - if I hurt someone feelings, I call it a TDB (too damn bad)

I love a comedy thread but...with so many readers there is bound to be one person that filp it around against another person - - - there lay drama.

I know who I can recklessly joke with and these are the people I joke with. As for my Army & Marine peep's, we family for life.

For any who can't take the heat on the Board that's a TDB. graemlins/acclaim.gif

It's amazing that certain people hang on every word I say, just looking for a reason to condemn me, while their own BUDDY spews "offensive" material ten times worse than any of the brilliance that eminates from deep inside my cranial processor, and not a word is said. Hypocrisy reigns supreme from a very "lil" segment of DHP, and enough is enough. I am not politically correct, nor do I care to be, but I am as real as they come, and I can't apologize for that. Sometimes I'll lurk for a while to see if a decent argument is being mounted. If it's just BS, I let it go. If it's ignorant, I'll leave it up to the other ignoramouses to argue. If, however, I feel strongly that another point of view should be injected, I will do that too. Some folks just start crap just to start it. That's why I don't respond here to some who are the salt of the earth in person.

Gee whiz, Dee Dee. I don't know...

If you open a resource such as a discussion board to people of all ages, races, nationalities and cultures, I think SOME evolution might occur. I mean, 6000 plus members is a pretty diverse lot. But I could be crazy.

Everyone - convert to Jesusism, move to Chicago and play the same 50 records over and over from now on. Also, make certain you change your race to black. That would help too.

 I'm sure some evolution will occur but my point is as I said before, why come to a thread that is mainly focused on humor or something positive just to start some shit? PERIOD!

WHY? What's the reasoning for it?

Why do people get up in the morning with a chip on their shoulder, without realizing that they we fortunate to even awake and make the most of the day. Maybe you should have titled the topic "I WOULD LIKE THOSE WHO DON'T PROVIDE FOR MY PLEASURE TO LEAVE."

Enough talk about people who take the thread off topic. How about a thread about how people respond to RHETORICAL QUESTIONS.

This topic is about personal preference, Dee-Dee. You were sending a message that you don't like the way the dynamic is moving around here.

Bold don't get me wrong I like a little drama, but when it comes down to a down right dirty "if I could reach through this screen & kick yo Mutha F*cking ass" then it becomes a problem.

And It has gone that far before.

You know how alcohol is like courage in a bottle? I think the Internet works the same way for those who want to be shockingly ignorant. I actually find it is most cases to be humorous. icon_rofl.gif Let them try to portray that same ignorance directly in front of some of us, it would truly be embarrassing graemlins/bolt.gif , and that is exactly why they act out here, they know they can only pull that stuff online :D

By the way I love this site, it's been fun reading some of the great polls, like this one. I can see who the regulars are already ;)
