It was started by a scooter owning hoxtonite with an asymetrical haircut.
And it's the next/last big thing if you believe what you read!

Did it not emerge from New York, and Larry Tee kinda spearhead the whole thing. But i'm sure other figures in this scene would argue with that.

I approach a band to help with your question ...
Me: What's the frequency? ...
[awkward silence]
Me: Guys?
R.E.M: Er ... that's 'Kenneth,' dillhole. 'What's the frequency Kenneth.'
Me: Oh okay ... Albert will appreciate this help.

Interesting to note that over here some of the big players on that scene are the old school early 80s club crowd - Mark Moore, Princess Julia, Tasty Tim, Sean McClusky etc.

Don't think so Martin but he was certainly DJing at the Mud Club from 1985 ish, possibly earlier.

nah the whole "electroclash" thing has been technically around for a long time its just that this sound culminate with the whole "re-discovery" of 80's tracks and the fact that DJs and producers like DJ HELL & the HAcker would have a strong follwing that eventually got commercialized by the fashionistas. In Brooklyn Larry T has been having an electroclash party for a long time, still not awake enough to explain more......lol
