Calvin Harris is the latest monster name to turn out for Uber, who are continuing to hurtle forward in their pursuit of the dance music elite.
Having already booked Danny Rampling, Todd Terry, Terry Farley, Pete Heller and Pete Tong this year, Uber have somehow gone one better with Calvin, who will perform at Club Concrete on Bank Holiday Sunday, May 30th.
Since he last played for Uber, Calvin Harris has cemented himself as a household name, with a number one album and number one single, critically acclaimed world tour, a raft of prestigious remixes and collaborations with the likes of Kylie Minogue and Dizzee Rascall, and of course that legendary appearance on the X Factor… he truly is a world mega star. Miami, Venice, LA, Barcelona and Melbourne are just some of the places he has performed this year.
Originally from Dumfries, Calvin has an ever bigger profile up here than anywhere else - watch out for the legion of fans making the journey over the border on Sunday night! And it isn't just Calvin they'll be coming to see, with Ki Creighton, Craig Kelman, Jamie G and Steve Lennon coming down from north of the border to complete the rest of the bill.
Promoter Matthew Tyson said: "When you consider what Calvin Harris has achieved in the last couple of years, it's an absolute privilege to have him back at the club - there's no doubt it will be a special night."
Uber, May 30th at Concrete, Lowther Street, Carlisle, CA3 8DA. Doors open 9:30pm, club closes at 4am. £12 entry.
