I placed an order with the cats at Satellite Records on Saturday morning, and the joints still ain't shipped yet! Not arrived...but SHIPPED.

I know people have their feelings about Satellite's selection, but please, respectfully, tell me of ya'll experiences shopping at their Web site.

Good? Fast? Lame? Overpriced? Am I being unreasonable in feeling that 5 days is sufficient time to package and UPS 6 pieces of wax?

if the state of their New York store is any indication, I would say you might want to avoid them altogether in the future. I haven't been there in months, though, so perhaps things have improved.

Peace.

My experience had been good. In fact, I ordered something that was out of stock, when it came in I was notified. I placed the order and I got the package in a week. graemlins/thumbsup.gif

I haven't ordered from Satellite in a long long time. The couple of times I did order, it seemed like things took too long. Then again, maybe I'm just spoiled. I order from Dancetracks and I have my order within two days at the most, but often next day if I order early enough in the day. (Using UPS Ground as the ship method means 1 day service at least in the nyc/dc corridor).

I thought I saw some negative opinions of Dancetracks on a thread from a while ago, so maybe my good experience is not the norm.

The internet warehouse is definately closing down, and they are moving thier stock to the store space to sell it off on the internet. I heard the store is shutting down completely, but I'm not 100% sure. As much as it wouldn't work, they may try and run an internet warehouse and store in the same space, but that's just my guess from knowing them. And yes it wouldn't work well if you are buying copies of records in the pysical store - meets - web store if someone already ordered them on-line. So I'm pretty sure it's shutting down for real.

They were doing good for a minute (IMO) with the store pick up service(If you have that option). But the last time I did it they took 2 weeks , when it would take 2 days b4.

peace,
