Vinyl cleaning

Do you people have any tips on cleaning heavily stained vinyl. I mean those impossible to remove, nasty glue-like stains.
My ordinary cleaning stuff just won't do.

Don't hold your breath for an answer...they are so hypocritical around here...if they don't deem your question "important enough" you won't get an answer...almost like..."damn you should know the answer to this, or this is such a newbie question". By the way I think it's a good question and would love to see some answers...but I know better now...But if you want convo, just visit a couple of drama threads...All I can tell you is what my mama use to do..use rubbing alcohol graemlins/rofl.gif it use to work :D

Yep alcohol of sorts, i had a girl spill a beer over my record the other week, wiped it on the night, but when I played it at home, it had really bad static hiss all over the side of vinyl. I cleaned it with soapy water, no avail. Tried lighter fluid (the stuff for Zippo's), and now it plays again.
I did this one time though on a Red Planet release when I finished wiping it, there was a small white chunk / shape on the vinyl? It plays perfectly but has this white spot?? can anyone explain that?

See if this helps, It's a bit expensive but if you need some industrial stregnth cleaning this may help.
