That's some freaky Sh!t, the funniest thing that i've seen similar to this was a piece of toast with Elvis on it, any UK peeps remember seeing this on the Big Breakfast?

He's watching over my floral 1970's oven mitten and a half full* bottle of Absolute Kurant :D
It can't be David, as there was no response from the said effigy when I played Martin Red's Triangle Movement CD which had just arrived mysteriously around the same time and the CD's got Salome de Bahia's - Outro Lugar & Gigi - Gud Fella on it # :D
I'll keep you posted on any further developments!
* = it pays to be optimistic when you have God in your cupboard smile.gif
# = Martin, this mix is wonderful, thanks a lot, you got mad skills and I'll definitely spread the word ;)
Now back to the front room for a dance around, I'll just check that God's okay first though, you know what I mean :D

Seems to depend on the stereo it is played in, weird.

Did you read the fine print?
Just in case "hear" it goes.......
There are three main hypotheses about the beginning of the universe.
The first and less subscribed to is that the universe is eternal and has always been here and always will. But for that to have to be true, then the galaxies and so on would have to be stationary in the universe, but they are not. In fact they are flying away from each other at a rapid pace.
The second, and the most popular is that it begin with the Big Bang, and has been expanding every since. But that pesky missing mass is still a problem, even in the light of recent discoveries.
And the third is that the Big Bang begin, and the universe is now slowing, and will eventually fall back into the Big Crunch, possibly starting the process all over again. Now there is some support for this, as the universe does appear to be slowing somewhat.
Now as to the beginning. Current theories suggest that it all began some 18 billion years ago at a point smaller than an atom. All the universe's matter, energy, time and space was all contained in that primordial atom, the monobloc.
After the initial Big Bang, when the universe was 10 to the -30 seconds old, the universe was bigger than a proton and smaller than say a ping-pong ball. The dominate force here was probably the strong nuclear force, or even possibly gravity, and because the universe was so compact, the gravity of course was astronomically high. Sorry, couldn't resist.(and yes Albert, I did get some sleep smile.gif ).... Anyway, the temperature was a very high, on the scale of say, 10 to the 12 Kelvin. The theoretically limit to how high the temperature could get.
Okay, skipping ahead a little, the universe is now very old, relatively speaking, say about 1/100 of a second. And the universe has cooled a whole magnitude, to 10 to the 11 degrees Kelvin, but it is still very dense. There is still no matter because of that high density, and all the universe is at this point is electrons, protons, neutrons and photons. The density is about 4x10 to the 9 that of water.
At about a tenth of second in age, the universe has cooled considerably, to say about 3x10 to the 10 Kelvin. At one second old, the temperature has dropped by another factor of three.
At about 14 seconds old, the universe has cooled by another factor of three, being some 3x10 to the 9 Kelvin now. This means that the equilibrium of the universe is in flux for a while, because the electrons and positrons now can destroy each other faster than they are created in the opposite direction.
Now, skipping ahead a little more to several minutes after the Big Bang, finds that the temperature has dropped by 2/3 again. It is now a cool 10 to the 9 Kelvin. It is so cool in fact that now actual protons and neutrons exist, and they have begun to combine in nuclei of hydrogen and helium. Actual matter, well almost. They're only nuclei after all and not whole atoms. And all the so-called matter put together represents only a tiny fraction of the mass of the universe. Most of its light and neutrinos. They are a few electrons, but hardly any positrons.
Okay, let's skip ahead a really long time, to say about a half-million years after the Big Bang. The temperature has gotten absolutely chilly, to about 4,000 Kelvin now. Now, there are plenty of stars hotter than that, but we are talking about averages here. Also, it is not nearly as bright now as it was. That's because the universe is no longer "radiation-dominated." Matter now dominates radiation. Now 700,000 years after the Big Bang, the universe has cooled even further. Following Weinberg's Law, the universe has dropped another 1,000 Kelvin.
There are many nuclear and electron like particles now, so many in fact that they get in the way of light. So the universe at this point (some 700,000 years post Big Bang) is somewhat opaque. But that will change. Up to now we have had electrons and protons, but the universe was so hot that they just stayed that way...as free particles. They couldn't combine. Or more precisely, they combined all the time into atoms, but just blew apart again. And as the universe cooled more and expand more, it became more clear, loosing its opaqueness as electrons and photons were able to combine into atoms, allowing the photons to move freely again. And now we are on our way to Mathius's cupboard. Cool isn't it?

David, totally all-over this idea, our space is constantly expanding, so let's join it graemlins/thumbsup.gif
Martin,
There's is absolutely nothing wrong with those CD's mate, they're all perfect in their own little way & they had me bouncing off the sofa like a six-year old on a Frosties diet
:D
The samples are wonderful, the music is really nice, a great set & loved the breakdown around 56 minutes and then the big step up - super cool graemlins/respekt.gif
I'm thinking of wall-papering my cupboard ;)
