He had a cut called "Music" that I liked. I also liked a remix he did of "Crush" by Jennifer Paige.

it's Tiefschwarz, they have some decent tracks out there, 'city sounds' and 'never' for example...

A talent that should not be slept on!

That 'Chicago' track that Jamie was referring to wasn't this (http://www.discogs.com/release/214967) was it?
I heard this back in the summer on Gilles Peterson's Radio 1 show. Lovely deep/tech house tune that samples Roy Ayers.
I'm going to look for a copy when I go to London in the New Year.
Yeah, "Chicago" was done by Henrik Schwarz.
Tiefschwarz is a completely other cup of tea.

Hi Jamie,
Tiefschwarz has definitely something to give. One of his best recent works is 'Nix' out on Classic, with an excellent remix from Luke Solomon. Been playing all three versions of the cut since it's release earlier this year. Some of his productions/rmxs can get a bit too superficial to my liking, though. Losing the 'soul' of it..
I've also heard some very good stuff about Ali as a DJ, unfortunately I missed his last gig in Finland a couple of months ago..

"chicago" is Henrik Schwarz 3rd 12" and his second on Mood music. my favourite is still the first one called "supravision ep" - try to find that one. there's a tune called "Marvin" - an amazing, KDJ-style midtempo affair twisting and dubbing Marvin's "i want you". "chicago" is dope but a bit unusal for Henrik, the b-side - which i prefer - is more typical.
Tiefschwarz recently changed now jumped on the electroclash bandwaggon.

Mmmm, I like the sounds of those, especially 'Jimis'. I think I'll add those to my 'keep a look out for these 'cause they're damn good' list when I go to London.
