Dj Savoir-Faire

Have you seen him? He is an "invisible man." Who is Faire One? If you're from the Chicago area, you might have talked with him, exchanged glances with him from afar. You could have been standing right next to him... On the scene, he is in constant observation mode, but behind the decks this aspiring Chicago jock lays down the grooves that send people to the dance floor in droves. He is The Groove Doctor.
"And like that, (poof)...he's gone..." Who is Faire One?

It was after hearing the hook from Marshall Jefferson, "Gotta have house...music...all night long" in 1986, Dj Savoir-Faire or Faire One as he is called, gained an interest in the vastly growing "House" scene of Chicago. The innovators of the house music sound, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Steve Silk Hurley, and Chip E among others inspired him. He then realized that behind the tables was where he wanted to experience this music and spread it for all others to enjoy.

He took the "Dj Tools of the Trade" he was taught and enhanced them on his home front and at local parties. After a brief hiatus in '93, honing his skills and networking, he returned to the House scene as the Pioneer Resident Dj at Club Something Wonderful in '96. His three year stint there led to the incorporation of his own entertainment production, Savoir-Faire Entertainment which has performed in and around the cities of Chicago, Milwaukee and Detroit to name a few. His musical recipes consist of deep, disco, underground and vocal house. Coining a phrase from a friend and respected Chicago Promoter Mynia, he is a proclaimed "Vocal Whore". His music has been heard on numerous medias including TheDeepHousePage and GottaHaveHouse. One of his latest mix compilations entitled "The Vocal Whore", was the #1 mix for the Month of March on the World Wide Syndicated, Club Radio Network. During his short stay @ Club Radio, his mixes have often graced the top ten among thousands of other sets.

"My goal is to communicate with others through my interpretation of music, on a global aspect."

In addition to his own projects, he has worked in conjunction with Chicago based promoters such as NewBirthUSA and Infinite Sounds. During these ventures, he performed at various venues such as Cafe Dolce', The Venue, Joe's and Club Aqua while spinning alongside some of Chicago's hottest jocks. His most recent performances have come at Square One with Cordell Johnson (Nu Bang Clan), Betty's Blue Star with Steve Melvage (Hot Jams) and The Dragon Room.

Although not new to the "game", Dj Savoir-Faire is constantly learning different aspects of it. Currently, he has added remixing and producing to his resume' which will result in new projects for release.

Now that you know who he is... stop, look and listen for Faire One. In the near future, the world will be his stage.
