So young white guy is fixing to leave Frankie Knuckles party on Sunday early and is asked by X, ‘so are you taking off early?’

And white guy replies ‘yea I really want to hear more house’.

X ‘What do you mean more house, this is the GOD FATHER OF HOUSE?’

White guy ‘Well just more soulful type stuff’

X ‘I don’t know what you mean. You should be careful throwing around terms like that. Soulful? I don’t know what you mean’.

White guy ‘Well you know, more black sounding’.

Ha ha ha ha ha what a fucking white boy...I mean Frankie that is.

Lose Joints, make it happen. Make everyone take a test thats Matt proof. HA ha ha ha ha!

Jamie,

How was Frankies party on Sunday? What's your opinion of it??? I keep missing him at Hydrate but would really like to hear him in that venue.

I wasn't there this time around, but was there last month. It was VERY gay. I left like I was one of three or four straight mofos in the room. THere were an equal number of hot women. The selection was decent, if not a little canned.

Or did we forget those guys?

I'm gonna resist speaking on that comment graemlins/jpshakehead.gif

Maybe the white guy was wanting to hear more songs with fat women screaming like they're at church.

Not at all. I'm just saying that that is what stuck out to me. I wasn't uncomfortable to the point where I had to leave, but it was definitely something that I noticed as soon as I walked through the door.

I think that NY is funny like that. Al the really good house music events like Frankie's party @ Cielo, Body & Soul and even 718 sessions (to some extent) are dominated by gay men. Anywhere in europe, it would be very mixed, if not predominantly straight.

I work in a business which has a lot of gay men and I think of myself as the token straight boy.

Sometimes people go overboard with their gayness that it can make others feel uncomfortable. TO each his own but I even have a gay friend that when he sees other gay men acting too "girlie and loud," he says "he musta just came out the closet."

I bet every bashed gay person in every city and country all over the world is pretty damned uncomfortable when they get bashed by breeders who feel uncomfotable.

Don't get me wrong, I love straight people. Hell, some of my best friends are straight. My parents were even straight! I just can't deal with those open shows of affection, the recruiting they do on TV ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, the way they indoctrinate their kids into it.

Wild...chill girl. You're gettin too defensive. Happy holidays. Oh I'm just getting started!

How you gonna come into MY house and say I'M too gay? If you don't like it, GET THE FUCK OUTTA MY HOUSE!

That the first thing.

Second thing is I am sick of you breeders talking about what makes you feel uncomfortable. WHO GIVES A FUCK WHAT MAKES YOU UNCOMFORTABLE? I bet that Shepard boy was pretty uncomfortable being strapped to a fence and beaten to death because he made a breeder uncomfortable. I bet Brandon Teena was pretty uncomforable being raped and later shot byt some breeder who was uncomfortable.

I usually try to stay pretty level headed here on the page, but in the words of the great T-shirt we just got my son for Christmas:

FUCK YOU, YOU FUCKING FUCK! </font>
I'm going to be the bigger person.

Yes, the same "hear." With all the tension around us....that station has been somewhat of a release for me too. Not to many commercials either.

There is also another tune they play (they don't give out the titles....maybe if they have a web page they might list them) which reminds me a wee bit of StarChild - lyrics start off: Last Christmas I gave you my heart, the next day you gave it away (a little sad but has a certain positive feel to it).

;)

dYes, "The very next day, you gave it away." I'm not sure who does that one either. That's been the one area where they slipped a little on their non-stop holiday music. I would love to know who some of these artists are. I had to learn from a different station that "Santa Baby" was Madonna. I had guess Cyndi Lauper or some old-time original.

P.S. Don't try to "gentle man" me out of my anger! graemlins/remybussi.gif

Anyone (gay or straight) has the potential to breed, hence they become a breeder as is the case that anyone can be deviationist so as they choose. These things are not associated with just one group of people.

Which was why I brought up what exactly is a breeder? I by definition am not a breeder unless I choose to breed but by this definition of mine being straight I therefore am a breeder...blah, blah blah

gf: i am not questioning the validity of the argument, i agree the slur was unecessary and i am quite clear about the implications of 'breeder' (thank you for your explanation anyway) but i feel in the context of the discussion, turning this around to make straight folk appear the victim in this case is unfair. drawing attention to the slur is one thing, extending the point so we talk about objectifying straight people is not entirely relevant.

graemlins/rofl.gif @ "objectification of straightness". that's gotta be a first. a valid argument i guess, but in what context.. It is the assumption that straight people are breeders, this can be parelled with the saying that gay people are deviations (noticeable or marked departure from accepted norms of behavior) merriam webster

If I had a choice of any crowd, that devoted one, I would chose Frankie's over all the straight fucking knuckleheads around here any day.

And whats so funny about it? HOUSE IS GAY! </font>
I'm w/ U on that...I'd spin 4 a gay crowd way before a straight crowd anytime. They seem 2 appreciate all the music not thee DRAMA!!!

To clarify:

A breeder is no more one who breeds than a nigger is one who is black.

My wife and I have 2 kids, btw.

True, the slur may have been a bit over the top (and might I add, quite uncharacteristic of me). My only justification (if you can call it that) is that when if you come into my house and tell me you don't like my behavior, you're liable to be called everything but a child of God.

I have seen and heard far too much about acceptible levels of "gayness" from "tolerant" straight people.

If I have offended all the straights on the board, I'm sorry for the offense, but realize that it was in direct reaction to the offensiveness of the suggestion that a gay person should only act so gay IN THEIR OWN HOUSE to keep these straights "tolerant."

Imagine going to a hiphop club and commenting that those black people go overboard with their blackness. It's ludicrous (sp?).

DG -- watch all you want. Makes me no nevermind. In fact, I encourage it! I generally don't objectify anyone based on a pre-established set of constructs, however only a honky dog would say I'm too black.

Also, I hate the "n" word, but I know a nigger when I see one and they ain't all black.

Of course you're free to disagree, to be offended, to judge me based on that one opinion rather than all the thousands of comments I've made in the past 3 years on this board. That's you're right. But before you start licking your wounds and patting yourself on the back, at least do me the courtesy of realizing where it all started. At least I said what I meant rather than saying "Some of these folks on the DHP go overboard with their straightness." (Which would be true, by the way.)

How about "Fucker" while we're at it?

I have always found it to be profound when a girl and I are in a purely sexually based relationship and she refers to me as fucker from time to time. One might be insulted by this, but I found it to be appropriate. It's sort of like a loving relationship calling each other "honey" and "sweety".

-G I will have to disagree, this type of anger is never justifiable because it yet again instills the divisions in our society. Anger against the said persons (which I will agree deserved it) We have to be conscious enough of what our own thoughts hold because there is a lot truth which is revealed. What we say of others maybe the stuff you wish was not said about you.

If one takes the time to see the divisions they have created in thier mind of our society, you will begin to see how you are part of the bigger problem.

Now this isn't just for Wildi this is for everyone espeacially for you ignorant ones who posted in this topic, yeah you know who you are......bwahahahaha!

Wham - Last Christmas

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance, but you still catch my eye
Tell me baby do you recognize me?
Well, it's been a year, it doesn't surprise me

(Happy Christmas!) I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying "I Love You" I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now I know you'd fool me again

Chorus:
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

(Oooh, Oooh Baby)

A crowded room, friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you and your soul of ice
My God I thought you were someone to rely on
Me? I guess I was a shoulder to cry on
A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
A man undercover but you tore me apart Oooh Oooh
Now I've found a real love you'll never fool me again

Chorus:
Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special(special)

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special(special)

A face on a lover with a fire in his heart
(Gave you my heart)
A man undercover but you tore me apart
Maybe, Next year
I'll give it to someone, I'll give it to someone special
special-someone-someone

I'll give it to someone, I'll give it to someone special
who'll give me something in return
I'll give it to someone
hold my heart and watch it burn
I'll give it to someone, I'll give it to someone special
I've got you here to stay
I can love you for a day
I thought you were someone special
gave you my heart
I'll give it to someone, I'll give it to someone
last christmas I gave you my heart
you gave it away
I'll give it to someone, I'll give it to someone special

Next on Jerry Springer - "Breeders, and the Breeders who love them!"

Jerry - "Our first guest is Rudy Jordan. He says he likes being a breeder and will never change. Let's bring him out."

(Booooo! Booooo!)

Rudy - "Yeah, I'm a breeder! I'm PROUD to be a breeder. I got 3 kids and I'm going to teach them to be breeders too!"

Someone from the crowd - "You're in our house, Breeder, bend over or get out!"

Rudy - "Fuck that, I'm out."

Jerry - "We'll be back."

Merry Christmas, Dammit!
