I changed the location of my refills on my hd and since then Reason 4 won't find the path. The shitty thing is he can't even remember the path.

And so di I, after 3 years using the same CPU I totally forgot where it originally was.

Any ideas on how to fix that problem? I sent an email to Propellerhead but no answer yet, and been searching the forums without a chance.

Thanks in advance,

Idance
///////////EDIT & SOLUTION/////////
For those who might encounter the same problem, here's what I did (Reason 4):

I had my selection of favorite sounds which were linked to the previous location of the refills, so Reason wouldn't be able to have different paths for the refills.

My favorite sounds were all in italic with an exclamation, I took one's name and did a search into the new folder where I located my refills.

Reason found back the sound and then did a complete retrieval of all my favorite sounds, and allowed me to browse my refills again.

Hope it helps.

I hope you know how to do a search on your computer....I'm sure if you look for ".rfl" you should find something.

Did you move the factory refils too?
If not do a search to find the location

Well, I've tried the search with no success.
Thing is first it was like:
- C/Program files/Propellerhead/Reason/?

and now I've tried to check what was the original name of the folder but can't remind what it was.

"Refill", "REFILL", "Refills", "Refillz"...?

And this stupid Reason won't give me any clue.

Still waiting from Propellerhead's help.

Thanks anyway guys

dude, you need to run a search through your OPERATING SYSTEM to find files with the extension ".rfl" if you are looking for refills.

I think I did a bad job explaining the situation:
- I know where my refills are on my hard drive,
- But they were previously in another Folder,
- Since I changed their location, Reason isn't able to find them,
- And I don't know how to give Reason the good path so he can find back all my favorite sounds and patches.

asuming you had them in the default location to start with move them back too

C:\Program Files\Propellerhead\Reason

No, I did make a specail folder for active refills and the ones I had to try... Whatever, Propellerhead told me to think back at what was the folder name. They will try to improve this problem soon tho.

Can't you just browse for the current lcation or is it that exsisting projects are not finding sounds you have used?
I find a good rule is never too mess with locations while you have on going projects!
It can be a bitch lol
