No never heard of that place ? . 1986 I would of been 13 years old and was firmly into my hip hop . It would not be until late 1988 that house grabbed me and all that came with it mmm .
House was very underground at this point I started reading al ittle about it in a magazine called Soul Underground do you remember that ? .

Yes, I remember Soul Underground very well!! There's a blast from the past.

Hug Club was kind of interesting in that it was probably the first London venue where most of the people were taking MDMA...although the music policy was not particularly house I don't think - more mellow music and chilled out stuff. It came just after Taboo and before Shoom...
