At least the kid seems to have the pitch/tempo straight. Most cats be mixing at +6/+8, making them beats all crazy fast like aerobic fitness.

Somebody PLEASE get that kid a shirt ... or is he mixing in his diapers??
As much as we are poking fun at the kid, I think it's kind of cool. I would love for my kids to take on DJ'ing as a hobby. At least they are getting into something positive. What's YOUR anti-drug?

I was sitting about 6 feet away from him when he played @ the MAW party during WMC last year and he didn't play bad at all.
The one thing I noticed is that he didn't really seem to be having a whole lot of fun doing it. It was more like his dad telling him to do it like it was a chore or something.
Maybe he was intimidated by the crowd or what have you, but whatever..... we need to get younger people involved in this music so by all means.... its a shame his publicity is making him sound so corny, but does it really sound corny or is it my own personal underlying crab/bucket thing kicking in.... who knows.

There's one in the UK, not a JMNYC but a young DJ.
A programme was on TV about him, his scumbag parents trying to make dosh outa the little might, lazy buggers probably didn't work themselves. Anyway, they where dragging this boy around clubs in Ibiza in the early hours of the morning, with his lil sister, it was sad, parents should beaten for this, me and friend just sat their thinking "it's way beyond their bedtime, they actually had the kid promoting and talking to people, mistake when your handing out flyers in the early hours with all the drunken or drugged up nutters.
People where mokcing and laughing at him, they cut one bit as I suspect some bloke told the mom to take her ****ing son home. One guy thought the little kid was a dwarf, sad.

Personally I'd have reservations about letting my 8 year old dj at a party called "BackdoorBamby".

Hopefully this boys(mini Jon Martin) father is better then that. I mean to have your 8 year old in a smokey club past 10 pm just ain't right.
But it is cool to see someone so young doing his thing. More power to him!

His dad apparently plays at the Monster, a very, very gay bar/club here in the city (or at least, he DID). I would agree that trapsing this kid around the world to show off his "skills" is questionable at best, especially since I haven't seen a single picture with a smile on his face.
Having him DJ a party called back door bamby is IMHO a bit overboard as well.
Well, off to the gym to work on my bird chest.
I slay me. icon_rofl.gif
