It just aint the same anymore, but I remeber how seriously I used to take holloween.

I mean I would watch all the cartoons, all the shows, anything holloween related, and thats not even mentioning how amped I used to get to go trick or treating (sp?)

In particular I used to love the legend of sleepy hollow, that was definitely my all time fave.

Nowadays though its just an excuse to go to a costume party or watch old scary movies.

Some things are better as a kid I guess.

HALLOWEEN STORY FOR IIBS...

One Halloween, my mother was going out with her girlfriends. I was suppose to be babysitting my sister. While my mother was getting dressed, I asked if I could ride my bike in the backyard. My mother told me yes as long as I did not go outside the fence. So I am in the backyard and I see a bunch of neighborhood kids ride by. I found out that they were going to the cemetary... Thinking I would be right back before my mother was ready, I rode along. Now we are the cemetary, yelling and screaming. Being kids. SNAP. The chain broke on my bike. My friends laughed as they left me. I was standing there yelling, "NOOO...DON'T GOOO...FELLA'S....DON'T LEAVE...NOOOO" It was like a scene from THRILLER. So after about 30-45mins, I finally get the chain to stay on... Now I am racing like a mad man to get back home before my mother noticed I was gone. As soon as I hit the block, who is pulling out of the driveway... My mother... To this day that was worst ass whuppin' I ever got... I got beat from the alley, up the stairs, thru the living room, around the toilet, in/out the closet, underneath the kitchen table with a extension cord. AND SHE STILL WENT OUT...
