hi guys,
im relativly new to all this and unfortounatly i wasn't around when these tunes were... so i was hoping the more oldschool of you could help me identify them, i absoloutly love this tape and in particular these few tracks ive posted small samples too. i was just hoping someone could gimme a name... maybe a label... anything to track these down! ive been getting really into them and would love to own them on wax... (hopefully! if they don't end up being super rare which i have a feeling they might be ;()
hehe anyway...
by the way the set i have is labelled,
frankie knuckles - live at sound factory 1992
unkown track 1 (http://www.iinet.net.au/~jigs/samples/soundfactory92unknown1.mp3) - gonna be alllrrrigghhttt :D ! i love this, that guys vocal is the shit! :D
unkown track 2 (http://www.iinet.net.au/~jigs/samples/soundfactory92unknown2.mp3) - wow! this is the finishing track on the set and blew me away, it also has black box - ride on time sample too if im not mistaken?
unkown track 3 (http://www.iinet.net.au/~jigs/samples/soundfactory92unknown3.mp3)
- omg. i nearly had a heart attack when i heard this! the very classic loose joints - is it all over my face sample thats been remade or remixed or something into something very cool!
unkown track 4 (http://www.iinet.net.au/~jigs/samples/soundfactory92unknown4.mp3)
- awsome :D kinda sounds like robert owens?
ps. i hope this is in the right section! sorry i was a bit confused where to post it!

I think that is Robert guesting, but I don't
think his voice is on the commercial, slightly
watered-down release.
It's a Clivilles and Cole production, IIRC.
I think it's by TRILOGY:
"Love Me Forever", but I don't think
this exact mix came out.
There were two different configurations of the
Trilogy 12", you have to read the print on
the label to make sure it's the "Dub of Doom" mix.
That mix is as close as you'll get to the one
you have on this tape from Sound Factory.
The other mixes on that 12" were all pseudo-freestyle, NOT House.

I believe that's Fast Eddie, "Let's Go Let's Go"
a Chicago Anthem if there ever was one.
Everyone in NYC played it too. Junior Vasquez
helped sell that record big time in NY.
And Frankie Knuckles continued to rock that
jam when he took over the residency at Sound Factory. I was playing it when I worked briefly
at Better Days toward the end.

John, it's not "Let's go Let's go" but you're definatley in the right ballpark. I can't think of the name myself.
Number four may be a Red Zone dub mix of something that David Morales may have produced. Still researching.
Peace

It's either Tyree or Fast Eddie. "In The Mix"?
I've only played the song 10 million times
back in the day but I can't remember which it
is...it's a DJ International record fershure.
Number four is definitely Trilogy, but a deeper,
dubbier mix than the re-issued U.S. 12' dub of doom.
Me and Joe Claussel were at Sound Factory when
Frankie played this, and we asked Frankie later on.
Frankie's mix has Robert O...I don't remember
Robert's vocal on the commercial version.
Peace.

Peace Without even checking out the mix,I know Frankie was rolling the hell outta Let's go Let's go around that time period. He played that tune at every set he played here for 3 years.

"Gotta get up gotta get gotta get up...in the mix"
now where do you hear Let's go Let's go in this cut.
Definately not it. Totally different piano riff and bassline from "Let's go let's go".

Possibly Mixmaster - In The Mix on DJ International.
I had this record but it's title is bugging me. I think it is Mixmaster.
