Has anyone heard or even got a copy of "Sun Shower" by Nami Shimada - released in 1990 I think...I guess it's one of LL's last remixes.
I've been after this for a couple of years and never even seen a copy for sale.

The instrumental was put out on a Nu Groove/King Street Compilation, the vocal I have never been able to find either. If you are talking about the female singing in Japanese, I was told its a love story about a walk on the beach or something like that and that it was a pop hit in Japan. The vocal starts as a Christmas Carol of all things (about 2 bars or so) and for the life of me I can't remember which one!
LL took part of the instrumental track and added male vocals to this, it came out in 1992 called Love's Gonna Get You by the East Village People on Sam Records, flip side was remixed by Mark somebody (sorry can't remember) and actually has the refrain from the female vocal on the original. I usually don't have so much detail its just that I've been looking for this record (vocal) since it came out!!
LL's other remix that was released in 92 was Loleatta Holloway's Strong Enough. I hope I got this right, I will check with a friend but actually David should know something about that record, it used to get play at the Loft during that time though I think it may have been one of Doug's records.

That 12" of Lil Louis, I Called You that he's workin' on the mix is pretty rare itself at least I can't find it! Most people I know have the version on the French Kiss album but I think that's the 12". Awwww, now wait a minute...did he hang up on me? graemlins/respekt.gif

Is this the 'I called you' that is on the remix of Blackout - there was two release of Black Out & one has a black cover and the second one has a red cover on FFFR Records ..
Not sure if this is the one, it's a Jazzed up Sax heavy 'I Called You' with Black Out - Phase II on the flip. I guess there was many sleepers on this remix, because it didn't contain the Blackout that everyone wanted at that time.

There were two FFRR releases of I Called You as I remember...I've only got one of them, it's got an 0898 mix which I prefer to the original.

Turning into a Lil Louis thread, oops. There's three "I Called U" 12s on FFRR (one of them's got some duff mixes of "French Kiss") and one on Epic. The Epic one's got all the best mixes and "Why'd You Fall". It's also quite rare. I imagine the mix you're after is on the Epic release, Maria.
