This is for those who watched the show or who have heard them singing during their tv appearances.

Is it me, or are they "co-champions?" I mean, they are both winners in a sense, but it's not like #1 and #2. It's like they are both #1. For Ruben to be the actual winner, it seems he does no appearances without Clay being there too. I haven't heard Ruben sing anything really except 2 songs, one being his rendition of a Luther song. I've heard a lot of people say Clay sings better than Ruben. People were saying it would be easier to market Ruben's sound rather than Clay's but, I don't know. Clay can sing. His record is doing better than Ruben's. But it just seems like he's getting just as much, if not more, press as Ruben.

And on another note, what happened with the winners of the other shows?: Making the Band (O-Town), Pop Stars (Edens Crush), Pop Stars 2 (Scene 23-never seen again; never heard a record).

honestly.. I think mainstream America is stumped.. who would they rather see: fat black man or gay white boy??? I think they'd rather see gay white boy...

Ruben rules! you can keep Clay.

that Clay clown messed up the National Anthem at the World series....he can't sing a lick. too many brainwashed people in America(i don't know why they think he can sing).

the second place guy last year was everywhere that kelly clarkson was for a while too. even the stupid movie they did.

it's pretty funny though. go into amazon.com, find the clay aiken album, and look to see the "what other people who bought this also bought" part.

reuben is tight. much soul, a solid musical background, and much passion to back it up. clay sounds a little too broadway for me. his barry manillow aesthetic/stage presence is bo-ring.

rueben needs a new agent. then he'll be set. really want to see this brotha do well smile.gif

For some reason it just hit me when I was watching this talented 25 year old person on stage, sweating & struggling to breathe (of course some of it is nerves), next to Clay who looks like he's going to be around until he's 90. He should look at what happened to his role model Luther. :(
