Chicago goddamn watcha tryin' to do..KILL ME!!!!

This weekend was one of those that will be talked about for a while. So while I was out doing interviews for my new talk show "ROPRAH" I hit a few parties graemlins/rofl.gif The party at Stevie B's was incredible every jock brought the heat and had the crowd sreaming like a sissie in Boystown. The energy was incredible. Marbill,Greg,Sean,Jaimie, Torin, y'all got a sickness and it was contagious Friday night. Everybody was in the house and having a damn good time. I lost my voice. It was good to see Chicago come out and represent like that. I didn't even get the chance to hear Rahaan but I can imagine. People started slam dancing and just carrying on. What a way to kick off a weekend.
Saturday night went to Spot 6..I was very tired but walked in on some good underground music and peeps were dancing. I finaly met Serge (this cats is one of those people that seems like he's never pissed off.... always happy) There was even a Shalewa sighting. Serge moved the party down stairs where Tony Cano and JMJ proceeded to put some heat up in tha joint. Nice place and a good time had by all.
Slick's was SICK!!! Sadar, Russoul and Lee Collins put the beating down. The place was so packed til I was just tyring to find a spot. Mad energy. Too many people in the house to name. Fine women dancing(they even had their own battle dance going on) MAN WE DID THE THANG THIS WEEKEND. Despite what appears to be drama at times...people sure know how to forget about it and come together to get down. So many cuts being played so many cool people out and waaay too many blunts in my lungs. Congrats CHICAGO DHP YOU PULLED OFF A FANTASTIC WEEKEND!!!!!

i am soooo broke off right now. the weekend was mad! i even got a chance to check out whyteout and greg gray at harry's. believe me, dhp represented all weekend. those fools educated the masses at harry's. whyteout was in one room and after his set ended, greg's started in the other room. it was like a mass exodus to hear each of them!!! felt sorry for the other jocks. they were both in a zone!!!

the whole weekend was a zone, a time warp of sorts... took me back to 1985 the way people were, yelling and screaming and jumping and slamming into each other. over music. i don't think i'll ever get accustomed to hearing people screaming my name though. i can't remember the last time a holiday weekend was dominated by house music in chicago, but it seems to have happened last weekend...

chicago's got some serious dj talent. too many jocks, not enough venues is the only way to describe it. i'm proud to work with some of them weekly.

I am trying to recover from four straight nights of partying. smile.gif All the bases were covered this weekend:

1. Great music
2. Wonderful vibes
3. Good-looking women in abundant numbers (for you troglodytes who complain that there are no women on the house scene)
4. SERIOUS DISCO BEING BEAT INTO THE MUGGA FUGGIN GROUND
5. DHPers with great attitudes (well, at least for a weekend) who came and did the dance
6. Did I mention SERIOUS DISCO BEING BEAT INTO THE MUGGA FUGGIN GROUND

P.S. It was awesome seeing all of you Thursday through Sunday, including my dance idol, Shalewa! And, thanks to my DHP buddies who look out for me when I'm discoing solo...the concern/love/walks to my car/rides home and such are way cool. graemlins/bighug.gif
