View Full Version : I-TUNES DOWNLOADS
The i-tunes music shop has some great dance music available for download. Over the last couple of days I've downloaded a couple Mr. Scruff tunes, as well as Seek surrender Ron Trent mix, Rideaway Getaway, Only Thing Missin Blaze remix, Nic and Osir cuts and many more. I mean these arent't the LATEST cuts but this is a good archive to grab good music that you may not have on wax or that you dont feel like spending 7 bucs for a plate.
I'm interested to hear any suggestions of cuts that may be available on i-tunes.
What are the best tracks that you have found on i-tunes. Spread the holiday cheer.
peace
i don't use the i-tunes shop, but my friend sent me some tracks and i wasn't able to play them :(
i was wondering if you can burn them to a CD? will it let you?
anyhoo, he said there are a lot of classics, old disco & r&b stuff ??
I'm almost positive you can burn the tracks to CD, thats what I plan on doing anyway. Definatly alot of classics, and the library is expnading everyday.

itunes is where i get my top 40 for mobile gigs and the like now. they have encoded there files as AAC Audio File (Protected) so that you can only download and play it via itunes. the quality is good (like high quality mp3).
** anyone know of a program to convert aac to mp3??
as for as searching for tracks you can also request it if they do not have it... i have never requested anything so i am not sure how popular the track has to be or how many individuals they need to request it before they license it...
btw, i lost a link a friend of mine sent to me of a website that already has quite a few house labels to sell tracks via download; i will try and track it down. frankie feliciano's (sp?) label has this available and i think westend does this too.

AAC is a codec for high-quality audio with minimal compression. AAC is used by many Mac apps for audio encoding for DVDs, etc. It can be converted to MP3 directly in iTunes or with Quicktime.

Happy Holidays to all. I have been trying to find tracks available to purchase and download to build my personal House music collection up again. I tried using I-tunes and noticed that the player only plays apple type files. How come they are so proprietary.
I would, for once, like to have one great player installed on my pc. Real One won't let Microsoft use the Real audio codec, I-tunes player won't play wma(windows) media, etc.
I would like to use i-tunes but I already have Media Player, Real One player, Music Match, and Media Jukebox installed on my pc. Things are already cluttered.
Is there any other music players out there that will play the music downloads from i-tunes so I won't be tied into one player.
They got a ok selection though.

Wow. I don't really share my purchased iTunes music, so I didn't notice. Sorry to be misleading.

They got a ok selection though. Winamp 5 plays AAC files ... and you can download a plugin for it to play Realaudio files
