Next year it's not a question of WHETHER to watch them, but WHERE to watch them. I live a 3-hour plane flight west of Montreal and have followed the team closely since 1979. It'll be sad to lose them.

Even though the Expos lose every season, they still have one of the best farming / minor league systems in baseball.
Where do you think players like Larry Walker, Randy Johnson, Moises Alou, Pedro Martinez, and
(now the soon to be hall of famer) Vladimir Guerrero come from. Tis Tis Tis to THE MLB if this
is really goin down.

Well boys, it's confirmed: the EXPOS will play their full season in Montreal for the 2004 schedule. No Puerto Rico, no Washington, No portland, Oregon. Kill that noise.

We've always had a contending team. We always are close until the final 3 weeks. We can never get on that final winning streak to blow by the other teams.

Of course, it's never been easy, ever since the Braves entered our division many years ago. If we were in any other division, we would have been in the LCS many times. But the Braves always beat us out. graemlins/cussing.gif

Actually, what is confirmed is that they will not be moving out of Montreal. But I am not sure that the issue of playing all 81 local games in Montreal has been solved. About a week ago, the players of the team voted for "playing all local games in Montreal", but I believe they had done this last year as well and see what happened this year.

Michael? More info on this?

Boys, to reiterate, the EXPOS are staying in MONTREAL atleast for the 2004 season. They're even trying to sign Vladimir Guerrero, which is optimistic. Let's see. I can't imagine Montreal without its Expos.

We had more attendance this year, especially in our last 10 games or so (we averaged about 20,000 per). When we swept the Phillies 4 games in mid sept to tie for the Wild card, the city went berzerk. But then, of course we went on the road and used this momentum the best way possible: by losing 6 in a row.

He'd be stupid to re-sign for less than market value with the Expos. Remember, MLB owns the team. Can you provide confirmation on your earlier statement regarding the Expos home games??......JMJ graemlins/cool_shades.gif

You stated earlier that it was confirmed that there would be no home games in Puerto Rico, Mexico City or anywhere else BUT Montreal. Who confirmed it, and don't say the players, because they have no say.......JMJ

feel too bad ,because the braves actually go to the playoffs, and get bumped every year, with the exception of 1995 when they took it all. Now they
completely stink like graemlins/puke.gif . graemlins/lol.gif

I love the Expos too, always have since seeing them play live as a 9 year old kid in 1980..

But as a Brit I cannot understand the Franchise system..

Try and move a soccer team in the UK and you will have all out war on your hands, it would be carnage
