Last week there was a topic "what dj set brought you emotionally to tears". Well it was'nt a dj set but "Onduras" performance (@ Cafe Mestizo 5-17-03) that gave me a warm feeling in my body and a lump in my throat. I think I was affected this way 'cause my boyz Ivan "Gypsy" Ramos and Xtian "Neo-nate" Guttierez are part of the band. They have found their place in this musical world and I felt it.

Tried to calm the nerves down but no use. Onduras went on like an adrenaline rush confronting the packed house with "Thats us coming". A crowd favorite was the housey/rock "AnarKey". They ended their 8 song set with a jammer at the end that seemed to have the drums, lead guitar and bass guitar dueling for the finish. This was the begining of something good for sure.

This is what I played in between bands:

1. Recloose / Kapiti Dream / Planet E

2. Kerri Chandler / Dub Music / Large

3. Tropical Deep(REMIX BY ALEX J) / The Poem feat.Synaka Lofton / Waako

4. Xavier fischer Trio / I sing this song for you / Unique

5. Atelewo / New Day / Yoruba

BAND: Elemental

1. Bob Marley and The Wailers / Get Up, Stand Up / Island

2. Johnny Hammond / Shifting Gears / Milestone Rec.

3. Squeeze / Take Me Im Yours / A&M

4. New Order / The Perfect Kiss / Qwest

5. Trans-X / Living On Video / ZYZ rec.

6. Frankie Goes To Hollywood / Two Tribes / ZTT

BAND: Onduras

There's nothing like that Live feel with the turntablism is there? I get that feeling at Indigo Soul all the time.. I am proud the night rocked..

Damn! That sounds like it must've been fun. Did you record the sets? or Were you a menso and you didn't think about it?
