Best party of the year for me, and no Jamie, Rahaan didn't take your advice on that beer, luckily we had him up just before I was running out of records :D

Short night, so my head's still spinning..It was a memorable party yesterday..Rahaan eventually did what he had come for : to beat us Belgians down with superb disco selection and mix skills..As already metioned here, we didn't manage to tape the music.. :( But on the other hand, there's a good amount of video footage we've shot, so that's gonna give some kind of an impression of it as soon as it gets online..

After we had gotten rid of our deficient mixing device early in the evening, Red 'Jacking' D kicked it off in a superb way..The guy played more then 3 hours and defenitly got the crowd going..Nancy Martin's 'Can't Believe' was for me the standout track of his perfomance..I had opened up the evening earlier on, but not much people had arrived yet, and it was only when Red D took over around midnight that people slowly arrived..Around 02AM we had about 250 people in the room, to our great satisfaction..Red D heated them up ..In the mean time, Rahaan was enjoying a vast selection of Belgian Beers..A bit later then scheduled, he got behind the decks..He started of with Harry THumans 'Underwater', crancking up the volume and beating that track to an extent that people went berserk..I won't forget that moment for the next hundred years or so..What followed was a three hour disco inferno, with an energy level and a 'flow' I have witnessed hardly ever in my history as a partyhead..He layed down a lot of his own edits..In the end he got cheered at by plenty of people who didn't want the party to be over already (6.15pm) ..I had so many come up to me who said they had really enjoyed themselves, which is of course the biggest satisfaction one can get..

More details will follow.. Gotta rest first.. Tonite, we're on for part II (my 'birthday' party at Dali's Bar, with King Rahaan I behind the decks..Can one be more lucky ? :D

man, what a night! surely one of the best parties in some time for me. not only because of the music, but the atmosphere, the warming-up at urban grooves, the food, the whole thing was great! rahaan beat the house down, with furious, edited, eq-ed, stomping diiiisssscooooooo maaaddnneeesss! red d was his superb wiggly jacking self, dddance mutha dance dance muthaa...
