/j Roy Thode is DJ who got pretty much started in the early/mid seventies on Fire Island (NY).He was very well known throughout the scene,in the seventies and early eighties.I mentioned this in another thread, though I'll write once again.
A fairly well known mixed compilation that he compiled/mixed (actually its the 1st mixed compilation I ever saw, maybe even the first of its kind),was "A Night At Studio 54" released on Casablanca in 1979 (Vinyl only ofcourse).I have it in my hands and I'm looking at it right now.It reads "Sequenced by Roy Thode...".On the cover it has the Studio 54 logo, and opens up,with the center showing photos from inside the club (two pieces of Vinyl included). This is only one of many projects Roy was involved in.If you're familiar with Larry Levans first recrod "C Is For Cookie",well Roy is the only other DJ to have done a mix on this tune as well.
Another fairly well known tune, that Roy mixed, off the top of my head,is "Come On And Do It (To Me)" on Vanguard.Besides Fire Island,he guessed and had other resedencies in the City,of which inclued The Garage,The Saint,The Monster,Studio 54,though there we're many other clubs as well.He is no longer with us in Body.

Did you happen to Record Nicky Set that night after the interview ?Yes,I would have liked to have been there too.
Regarding the 12 inch of "C Is For Cookie",does it include Roys Mix ?As I dont have the 12",it would be nice to know.
