Played it @ "Atmosphere Strut" and had the young bloods bum rushing the booth asking what it was. Can't think of the name of the track on the flipside buts its nice also.

I used to bug out over this cut. Especially towards the middle with that eerie ass string noise descending in tone. Heads would be bopping up and down at parties or a club. Sick rekkid!!!

I heard a DJ play Robert Owens' "Bring down the Walls" along with "Energy Flash" back in the summer of 91.
People were dropping to their knees that night!!!

what a sick track. so simple and to the point. i listen to mixes from around 8-10 years back.... and i like the diveristy in tracks that i heard. it was more about playing good tracks then just being techinally dope. a lot of nu jacks stick to one style nowadays. mad1.gif boring. blah, blah, blah, graemlins/sleep.gif

renegade soundwave...now you're talking...
the beauty of that time period was the diversity and sheer rawness of everything...you get get away with playing anythign and nothing was labeled yet...pushing the enevelope was encouraged and applauded...

Anyone, anyone?A classic on R&S Red and green sleeve, from Gent, Belgium.
Played everywhere 1990 in UK, big parties (with or without a license), also from dance clubs around the country, Hacienda, Shelley's, Hummingbird, Eclipse.

I was into Flash back in the day,but his remix of The Shamen "Move any Mountain"(I think it was called "Progen" or something) now that was a cut. Didn't "Night Tripper" come out in 1992? I remeber having a copy of a record that sounded a lot like Energy Flash back in 1992,but I can't remember the specifics about it. I remember it had a black label. That is it. Peace.

"Energy Flash" certainly is a classic IMO... I went absolutely mad the first time I heard it. And I am still kicking myself for not buying it at the time. Those were the days! Rebellious & Subversive Music!!! smile.gif

Energy Flash sampled "Chime" by Orbital.
That "Ecstacy.....ecstacy....ecstacy...ecstacy..." bit was always greeted with cheers.
Another good Belgian track around that time was Toxic Two - Rave Generator.
