Does anyone know on wich label this disco classic had been released? Probably on "the sound of brooklyn"? A cat # could come in handy. I am particulary looking for the instrumental version. I think it was released in 1980.
Thanks people.

Well.. I juist found out that "T.S.O.B." and "Ready To Rock" are one and the same song. It was first released in the US in 1980 as T.S.O.B .and later it got a rerelease on the german streetheat label in 1986 titled "Ready To Rock". Hopefully I will be able to find it.
Cheers, mk

Cheers, mk You are correct, sir. The vocal and instr. are on the flip on both. Good luck finding the original T.S.O.B.! Very hard to find. Was a Loft (Chicago) classic during the summer of 1980!

Hello. You are definitely correct. The original was on the "T.S.O.B." label (The Sound of the Bronx), and was re-issued as "Ready to Rock" on the import "StreeHeat" label. It's so funny that you put a post up about that song, because I was just playing it a couple of days ago to myself. I have ALWAYS loved the instrumental version, because it was soooooo funky & bass heavy. Definitely one of my all time favorites!!!! smile.gif

Actually the instrumental is on a record with an orange label that says SNIFF across it in white letters too! I think sniff is a label--I have more than one piece from them. Should be a UK release from somewhere around 2000 give or take a year.
